"Edited to respond to the owner… I spoke with someone who works at the facility. I have never spoken to the property or district manager. No one will return my calls (or hardly answer them.) You raise our rent to cover your flood damage in the office but there is no assistance to the customers who rent from you! I’m pretty sure you as an owner can negotiate the terms with SBOA to get flooding covered. Our unit flooded May 18, 2021. The storage facility contacted everyone to tell them that their unit flooded and they needed to come and clean their unit out of flooded items by May 24th or they would clean it out for us. We were also told to contact the insurance to file a claim, a month later our claim was denied because they don’t cover water damage. The storage facility knew water damage wasn’t covered and had everyone go through the process for NO REASON. Such a waste of time. I tried calling several times (no answer) and went to the Move it self Storage and asked to speak with a manager or owner and they gave me a bogus number. I called the 1800 number and I am still waiting on someone to call me about the situation. As of today June 28th, still no call and we got an email that all of our monthly dues are going up."3.
