I'm writing this review specifically to persuade anyone reading not to use Allied Van Lines for a smaller move that won't fill the truck. They aren't careful enough with the process. On the day they delivered my items, they handed me a checklist and told me to check off item numbers as they placed them in the house. This meant I was essentially rooted in place, unable to really see what they were up to for much of the offloading process. What was immediately clear was that they were bringing items into my home that weren't mine, and I'd have to tell them to take them back to the truck. What was not immediately clear was that they'd done the same careless job with my stuff at one point, as the center support for my bed was not installed. Without that center support, a few of the wood slats cracked. No big deal, I thought, since I had insurance. Their claims process is slow- way too slow to find anything that's lost. And, the value was less than my deductible. So, I'm left to find a new way for my bed to support my mattress. They're probably fine if you have enough to fill a truck, and you confirm that your stuff will stay on the same truck for the whole process. Otherwise, I would skip them.
