  "Eden Movers was brokered to move my mother belongings from Albuquerque NM to Newport NC. Upon arrival in Albuquerque their driver stated that he was scared to drive his truck into the parking lot and he would have to charge her a long carry fee. The parking lot is huge and is a circle drive with plenty of clearance. He accepted payment for the long moving service stating he would have to load the items down at the main road. He moved her items down the stairs, left them in the rain. The he pulled his truck right into the parking lot he said he couldn’t and loaded the items onto the truck. He collected an extra $270 plus dollars for a “long move” he didn’t provide. After having her belongings secured in his possession he had her sign a contract which she was never given the chance to review prior to him taking possession of her belongings. Today we received a phone call concerning delivery almost a month later. The driver refused to deliver the items to our driveway stating it was a dirt drive. He was informed the property has a cement drive. He then said it was unsafe and we had no choice but to pay for a shuttle or he would place her belongings in storage and then we would have to move ourselves and face charges above and beyond the shuttle fee of $350. We informed the driver our cement drive is over 100ft long and can accommodate his truck, also directly across the street is a large parking area and a side street which he is legally allowed to use. The large shoulder would also accommodate his truck. We had a 28ft moving truck and a Lowe’s delivery truck in our drive at the same time. We also had a separate moving company who was able to use the drive way last month. Driver refused to even attempt without even viewing and demanded an extra $350 or we’d not see our belongings without having to pay more. This company is robbing an elderly disabled woman of close to $700 in extra fees above and beyond the agreed price. They use scare tactics and threats. They shouldn’t be in business."
