  Avoid. When signing up for a unit in June 2020, we asked if we would be refunded if we were to move out early if my father paid for a year up front. We were told yes and that paying for a year up front would mean we get the 13th month free. They dangled the incentive to pay up front instead of monthly to get that incentive and upon now that wanting to move out of the unit end of February have gone back on what they initially said. We cannot be refunded for the months we won’t be using the unit… While they claim they are “sorry and assumed” “corporate” would let this happen, now they won’t… I am currently trying to contact corporate allegedly but their voicemail is full… cause that’s professional… Will update review once I get a hold of someone on how this situation has been manipulated and mishandled.

  Reserved on a special a 10x10 unit upstairs for $70/monthly. Reservation clearly said it was a recurring discount. After reserving manager called and confirmed discount was monthly. Upon arrival the discount became only for the first month with repeated explanations that I must be confused instead if they are dishonest. The confirmation is in writing and plain English. After leaving I received repeated calls explaining how I am wrong even though it was the very same person on the phone that previously verbally confirmed the written reservation. Do not rent a unit with these people. They are either frauds or incompetent.

  I have been using Fort Knox in Leesburg (on and off) since 1988 when I came home from the Gulf War (USAF Flight Nurse). I required a clean, well-managed and secure facility, all of which Fort Knox exhibited (then and now). In April 2021, I required their services, again. I am particularly impressed with the current manager, Janet Rose Loomis. I believe she is honest and very diligent in executing the duties required of a storage facility manager. Furthermore, she has treated me with kindness, and as though I am family. Occasionally, I hear her interact with other customers, and can easily discern that she treats others with the same kindness. I respect Mrs. Loomis, and very much appreciate all that she does for me. Respectfully, Catherine Abern. RN BSN
