  We reserved a truck and car carrier 1 month in advance for our move from FL to IL. When we went to get them the day before the move, they gave us the truck but didn't have a car carrier. They had given it to someone else the day before! They acted like it was Penskes fault and insisted they would find us one and that it would be their "number 1 priority" today. We never heard from them again. The worst part was the guy (Rich) acted like we had no reason to be upset/stressed. He told me not to get "excited" and to smile!!! Oh sure, we're only moving across the country and might have to leave my car here, no big deal Rich! Notice he didn't tell my husband to smile! I told him I'd smile when I had the car carrier we reserved and paid for. In the end Penske corporate got us a tow dolly IN TOWN. When we showed up at the other Penske location there were 3 car carriers. So clearly the guys at Home Depot didn't try at all to find us one and it was definitely their fault because they gave our carrier away to someone else. Don't pick up here and definitely don't patronize a woman when she's unhappy because you didn't do your job correctly.

  We had secured a lift gate 26 foot truck 12/12/19, and found out at 5:00pm tonight, 12/30/19 evening before we were to pick up truck in Thomasville GA, that we could not get the truck with lift gate. My husband and I are both 66, and needed the lift gate as we are the only ones loading the truck. If we get hurt, I will BLAME penske for NOT providing the equipment we had requested.   Waste of your time. They tell you to book the reservation and they have no truck. When you complain, you have to listen to blame game between the 1-800 customer service and the rude people in Tallahassee that obviously have no idea what it's like to move long distances. Save yourself some precious time and look elsewhere.
