I have nothing negative to say about self storage plus. I chose to get a unit with them because they were close to my work and apartment when I lived in Virginia. I needed a storage unit because I was moving back to Alabama in the fall of 2020. I not only picked them because of their proximity to my work and apartment but also because they are clean, they have features such as coded entry into the building as well as to the elevators, so I can trust that my items are safe and secure while I’m out of state. They are also very affordable even to those of us on a strict budget. My entry rate when I signed up for a unit was only $57.00 per month, yes it has increased since signing a contract for a unit but even now it is still less than $100.00 per month, which is honest unbelievable, since most storage units in Alabama are much higher for smaller units. If you need a climate controlled storage unit for any reason at any time I would definitely recommend self storage plus.

1-star only due to fact monthly rent of unit was increased 3 times over the last 24months since signing the agreement - over 52% increase! If you’re okay with the entry cost and don’t mind successive rate increase surprises, this place is for you! Very clean, easily accessible, well managed and environmentally controlled - you know, like most all others offering the same services today. Yes, I’m working to get my stuff moved out. Recommendation, don’t be in a rush, shop around, know the contract terms and negotiate your own - they have PLENTY of empty space now. Leverage this fact, just as I should have.

Adan has been very nice, accommodating and courteous. Adan showed me around the facilities and processed my paperwork quickly. Nice to have such pleasant people in customer service. I was also happy to find out that the offer prepay in advance so I don’t have to worry about monthly payments. It has been a pleasant experience leasing thru this facility.
