  "It's never easy for me to write negative reviews about any company, and this one is especially hard given the positive experiences I have had with the company in the past. In addition to having used Skinny Wimp Moving and Storage once before for a personal move of mine, as a property management professional, they have always been the first company I recommend to prospective AND existing residents when quality assistance is a necessary component to the relocation process. The movers arrived on time, which is not always the case with a lot of the companies, so I was thrilled with that. Unfortunately, when they called and I informed them that they had parked a block away (at the address we were moving TO) the movers were extremely agitated, frustrated and resistant to listening to instructions on how to get to the correct location. When I called Connor (sp?) - whom I have dealt with previously - expressing the concern, he got extremely upset and said that he would simply cancel the job rather than "have to negotiate the cost of the move" which was an unnecessary comment given the fact that I was not seeking any compensation, I just wanted to be heard on frustrations and disappointments I had for a company I have previously held in high regard. Rather than discuss it calmly, Connor hung up on me. When I called back several minutes later, he was extremely condescending and unprofessional before hanging up on me a second time. The two movers sent to complete the job would probably get a 3 out of 5, due to the fact that they ultimately got to work and handle everything efficiently. My biggest complaint was that they were told very clearly that the exotic pet living in the vivarium was being removed and placed in a temporary enclosure so that they could move it but were told NOT to move the temporary enclosure. They ignored this, placing an air-tight lid on it and dumping it at the bottom of a box that they were using to transport multiple things. If I had not noticed it, the animal could have been crushed and/or suffocated. When I pointed it out, they seemed to think it was funny. This points to the larger problem of these particular movers not listening to, or being open to listening to instructions. To reiterate, this was an extremely disappointing experience for me. The first opportunity I had to work with them was unbelievably positive and professional. I only hope that it was an isolated incident and others don't experience the same."
