As a local Realtor I highly recommend Weiss Movers to all of my clients and they get glowing reviews. I also have had the team at Weiss Movers out to my house to help me and they are super professional and accommodating.

worst moving company I've ever seen completely unorganized also couldn't figure out how to move a pinball machine they originally said wasn't a problem

SUMMARY: Damages, missing items, improperly rebuilt items, no response from the company. DETAILS: I think the two man crew on day 2 was overwhelmed that impacted some choices made. I was told on day 2 that they left only a few boxes of my framed pictures because the boxes were too heavy. Incorrect. It took 4 van loads, 2 Honda Fit loads with the seats folded down, and 2 Honda Accord loads to remove the remaining items from the old house. I also saw a gallon of sealed distilled water had been kicked or knocked over and water spilled out onto the hardwood floors from the impact and left. Some boxes of antique books and other books of my deceased mother's had been dumped onto the floor and one of her antique books I intended to sell damaged irreparably as well as other books meaningful to her damaged and bent. In my new garage, I found boxes labeled "fragile, do not tip" stored upside down. I found another box of books that had been treated similarly as the previous. Some scratches were made on my newly refinished hardwood floors at my new home. I didn't see one until later, that included paint marks and drag marks later under a piece of exercise equipment where a foot had fallen off during the move and not replaced in time before placing the item in the new space. The scratch and paint appears to have resulted from being placed on the floor without the foot in place. There are also some paint marks on my grandmother's dressers that were not there prior to my move, caused by being rubbed on painted surfaces. Usually the tops were covered with a moving pad, I observed, but not always the full face or side, as was the case here. A leg on an antique cabinet of my grandmother's was also broken and glued and a few scratched floor spots stained with a pen as "repair." There were scratches to other wood CD storage cabinets I also found later that were not repaired. I observed the movers dropping, from height, expensive plastic weatherproof storage containers that primarily held precious items from my deceased parents. When I observed this behavior, I asked them to stop and explained why. There appeared to be irritation at my request. When I observed some broken storage containers at the end of the move, the crew member scoffed at me and said they wouldn't replace them. I found other cracked storage containers later. There was one item (a entertainment center late in day 2) I was told would not fit into the basement room I requested it be moved to. I pressed and they insisted it wouldn't fit but didn't measure. It wasn't until I asked for a measuring tape in dismay that the movers tried to move the item. It was a tight squeeze but they made it in and I was grateful. I wonder what would have happened if I had not asked for a tape measure. My exercise machine was put back together backwards and I have been unable to fix it myself during the pandemic so it is unusable currently. There were, however, many things the crew did very well and I'm grateful for all of them. I reached out to the POC, Wayne, just a few days after the move and was told he was the correct POC for these issues and that he would review my emails with the service manager and crew leader at their team meeting the following week and that I would be contacted afterwards to discuss the move. I followed up multiple times over the next several months and never received a reply or a call or any remedy to the outstanding issues. I have since had opportunity to go through every single box, and have also discovered missing items, including an entire box marked "Most Important Kitchen, DAY 1" that had several of my most used kitchen items, including tools, pots and pans, etc. Despite the things the crew did well, I would not recommend this company because of the breakdown in responsibility taking as well as the issues I observed and the lack of remedy of them.
