"BILLING NIGHTMARE: So I called PODS for a quote and their "system was down." I was told they would get back to me with a quote in 48 hours. Somehow this "quote" that I confirmed twice at the end of the call. In the meantime, unknown to me, that quote turned into two orders being billed to my credit card on file with them for a total of $948.53. After placing my order with them, I discovered these two fraudulent orders which lead to fraudulent charges and I brought this to their attention on July 22 when I discovered it on my credit card. (I thought it would be an easy fix, and it explained all of the chaos I had been dealing with them up until this point. While I now understood the chaos, it definitely had not been an easy fix.) One of the containers I had already paid the rent on during the period they charged me two more times for, and the other was the new container I had requested the "quote" on and was billed for in my new order. SO for each of the two containers I was billed three times. Once in the authorized order and twice more in two fraudulent orders placed on my account, to a different address than I provided for them at the time of the requested quote. It has been at least 31 days and they have not been able to resolve this issue. It would seem with their recorded call documenting that I requested a "quote" and did not place any orders that day. That the fix should have been easy. The fact that the phone call doesn't discuss any dollar amount due to the fact that their "system was down" should also have made this an easy fix. The email sent to me documenting that I requested a quote should have done the same. My paid invoice for my order this would be enough for them to resolve this matter promptly. Yet, I am not only being ignored but they cannot seem to figure out how to fix their mistake, aka fraud. They did contact me when I reported this matter to them, after speaking to multiple people, some helpful some not. That it would take 3 to 5 days to process my request for a refund, etc. As I said it has been at least 31 days. Not only has PODS not made this right, corporate has ignored my request for an update on the status of my case. I last emailed them on August 10, and that email went completely ignored. I attempted to get another update today, well see what happens. Using a container for your move is a brilliant idea, but I would definitely Not recommend this company to do it with. ; OUTCOME TO MY EXPERIENCE: PODS never did make any of this right. In fact they just ignored me after their initial contact telling me they were going to look into this. I had to dispute the charges with my credit card company to get the fraudulent charges removed from my account.
