  Stay as FAR away from Jax Budget Movers as you can! Obviously they hire day labor that could care less (or apparently steal from you), and they will do NOTHING in response to any issues. If you care ANYTHIGN at all about your belongings, I would RUN away from this company. I contracted with Jax Budget Movers, of Fleming Island, FL, to pack a moving truck for me to drive to my new home. Upon inspecting the items as the movers I hired in at my new home were starting to unpack. I noticed first that the truck was poorly packed, with items in a loose and/or disorganized fashion. I found that it caused damage to several items, and broke or destroyed some items. Of note, the following items were broken and need to be replaced: Barbie Dream House, 4' mirror, and a filing cabinet. The damage to our bedroom dresser is too extensive to fix as it is a stained and not painted piece of furniture and repair would completely ruin the aesthetic. As well several items were damaged including an antique table (leg) which will need paint repair. As well there are other pieces that have varying amounts of damage. Immediately upon seeing damage I started snapping pictures and I first called Maddie (the owner) to tell her what I was seeing and that I would be sending over pictures. She said she would immediately send them to John (I assume husband and co-owner) and have him call me right away. I sent the batch of 20 photos over to Maddie (owner) once everything was unpacked that same day. I never heard back that evening. The first of several non-responses. I then texted her again on the next day to ask if she got them. She acknowledged she did and that she was waiting on John to call me back. I still received no communication. I contacted Maddie again via text 5 days later to let her know it had been almost a week and I heard nothing. I never received a response from Maddie at all then. At this point it appears they were completely ignoring me. I then texted Maddie again about 5 more days after that to let her know I had not received any contact. I heard nothing at all from them. I have since retained a lawyer and they even blew off my lawyer. I will now be filing legal action against them in court as they couldn't even be bothered to attempt to address the issue.

  To sit down and go through videos from 13 different cameras (2 different homes totaling 13 cameras inside and out) and see people (Lee and Tony) you put your trust in taking your belongings is an indescribable feeling. Items were taken that can never be given back (as they were sold owner verified they were sold) nor can the person I got them from be given back. Their employees will come across so professional meanwhile steal from you. Be sure to watch them and record if possible as I did. The owner does not do background checks as he could provide only a name for the employee. With the help of JSO more information was provided. With any moving company you hire please be aware as jaxbudgetmovers in Jacksonville FL failed to keep our belongings safe instead they stole a diamond necklace, a diamond ring, a tennis bracelet, a Movado watch among other items and sold them. No, the company will not compensate as John and Maggie (the owners) could care less. They will definitely keep you in their prayers (as they stated). All in all please be more cautious than we were.

  Alberto and Lee did a great job moving me out of my apartment and into my new house! They worked very hard and were super sweet and helpful. Only casualty was a coffee table I planned to get rid of anyway. The guys even took my stuff to Goodwill for me.
