  [We moved in October of 2021, and I did write a Yelp review but was asked to add it to Google as well. I'm doing it in hopes of saving others what we went through.] We had high hopes after reading these reviews but honestly I'm not sure where they're coming from--or maybe it was the team that moved us. Definitely NOT affordable--they are so slow that they'll take twice as much time as any other moving company. The team that moved us broke an expensive lamp, put a deep scratch in our hardwood floors (which had just been redone), and either didn't ask or couldn't understand when we told them where to put boxes. I'm going to have to put in another 2-3 hours just to move a bunch of boxes from the garage that were supposed to be in the bedroom (and vice versa). We had to physically stop them from dragging furniture over the hardwood and scratching it further--and that was after they scratched it. They told us to "just put furniture over" the floor scratch (never mind it's in the entry). Another huge issue was that two of the movers couldn't understand almost anything we said since they didn't speak English. If they had told us told us this ahead of time it would have been totally fine, and color coded boxes or something (we had them all carefully labeled) but as it was we had no warning and spent most of the day trying to communicate, which stretched the time they charged us for at least 50% more than it had to be. Clearly it didn't work, as the next three hours after they left I that I spent moving boxes to where they should be will testify. If you're moving, I'd recommend saving your time and money and avoiding this company.

  We have used Affordable Movers in the past and once again they exceeded our expectations! Great price, efficient team, service was fantastic and the whole process was super easy… They were so fast, professional, and protected all our stuff like it was their own. They wrapped all the furniture and moved very careful to avoid scratches. They also helped with assembling furniture. Super nice guys! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! ! You guys are the BEST! If I could give them six stars I would.

  This was the most stressful and unprofessional moving service. They sent a driver who did not speak English and his helper could not speak Spanish. My husband, who speaks broken Spanish, had to translate for the two. They took almost 7 hours to move a one bedroom apartment with belongings for 2 people. Nothing was out of the ordinary and there were 10 steps on each side. They broke the light fixture in our hallway and damaged the door latch. They did not know how to remove my sofa from the same door it was delivered through. First they told me they'd send additional guys to help carry it through the balcony. The guys never came. Then the owner, Pedro, accused us of not letting the guys do their job, which was absolutely absurd. They wasted at least an hour disassembling my couch to move it through the balcony. During that process they scratched the entire back of the couch and my husband had to assist them with the moving. They kept asking my husband for advice on how to move things, which was super stressful because it was what they were specifically hired to do. Once we got to our new house, they claimed the couch would not fit in the door and told me I'd have to dispose of the couch. After my husband gave them some ideas, they were able to move the couch in through the door. We were so happy when they were finally gone. The owner Pedro hung up on my husband when he complained and then would not return my calls for two days. Once I got a hold of him, he claimed he could only give me 2 hours off in total. I wanted 2.5 hours taken off. He also tried to claim that the couch was already damaged (it needs to be reupholstered but that has nothing to do with the long scratch along the back of the couch from where they moved it over the balcony, because they did not know how to do their job). On average, a one bedroom takes 2-3 hours to move. In this case it took 6.75 hours. I feel so cheated. Save yourself the stress and headache and pay a little more for professional movers. This was a complete joke. Receiving extremely poor service and then getting blamed for their poor service was something new for me. No concern with professionalism. This was a 4 hour job, MAX. Totally unhappy.
