  I ordered a u-haul trailer online from this location, and of course declined the insurance policies that represent a terrible value for the consumer and fat profit for the company. When I went into the store to make a minor change to my reservation at pickup, the person that “helped” me conveniently slipped the $30 insurance policy onto my order. Extremely dishonest, practically theft. A company that takes these liberties, willingly playing fast-and-loose with their customers wallets, will happily screw you in any way they can. You should think twice not just before ordering a U-Haul trailer here, but also in using their month-to-month storage units or other services. There are other great options in Montrose for that. I do want to mention that this is an issue with Airport Storage, not U-Haul. I’ll continue to use U-Haul but will just shop elsewhere. UPDATE: As for the owners reply, they technically did get my consent to add the insurance. I'll give them that. I signed the paper when I picked up the trailer, mea culpa. But I did not ask for the insurance to be added, and the salesperson did not mention that they were adding it. I had already explicitly declined coverage in the online checkout, where I have to check a box saying I will reimburse u-haul immediately for any damage done to the trailer. I happened to snap a screenshot of my completed checkout showing that I declined the damage protection that Airport Storage ended up adding to my order. I've attached that picture here, the relevant information is at the top of the photo - Damage Protection is listed as "None" with a charge of $0. Bottom line: when I completed my online checkout the $30 charge for insurance wasn't there, but by the time I left Airport Storage with the trailer it was. Take from that what you will, thanks!!!

  hi Jared! according to your receipt which was prepaid you were not charged for any additional fees, just tax and trailer rental ( which you prepaid) so we couldn't add anything without your consent. We don't just make any adjustments with out consulting customer first with all options. I hope your travels went well and have a great day! Thanks again.

  Very nice and Wonderful customer service. Have used both the storage units along with the U-Haul and I'm very impressed on how they handle business.
