We would really recommend this shelter for adoption. We got Arez (Rudy) there almost a month ago. He is amazing, and has been a great addition to the family. He is potty trained and very easy to train. Loves his toys and to run outside.

Our family adopted a beautiful dog from here last week. The place was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Out of all the departments in Alexander county I've interacted with, this has been the most courteous and made my family feel welcomed. They took care of the 1year rabies vaccine and first vaccinations. They also chipped our new family member and neutering. No issues, would definitely recommend to anyone in the area to come visit and/or adopt.

Wonderful facility. The staff are so caring, understanding, and helpful. Out of all the surrounding counties I've lived in over the years, this humane society is the best one I've worked with. Thank you Sherry for all your hard work and help.
