1 star only to post a WARNING! Hiring Allied company was the BIGGEST MISTAKE we've ever made! Moving our things 257 miles cost 9,000... A moving consultant/conman comes to your home to do a assessment of all your items, size & weight that will determine price (we had a lot) also the sale pitch of how experience & knowledgeable the moving guys are (he refered to them as local boys). We were reasured that they knew how to pack a truck & we didn't have to wrap everything up (night stands, wall unit, headboards) they would protect large pieces of furniture with there moving blankets which was included it the price. We also purchase insurance for, $851.00. Jumping through the hoops making claims for all the damages they done to our furniture was a full time job. Oh, they didn't have any blankets. Forget about getting ANY customer service, we paid $35.00 to roll up a latex mattress wrap with plastic, check the photo. Plus $530.00for the pool table to be reassemble, we had to pay a professional company to redo it for all the mistakes the guy did... Bottom line: Pay a lot of money to Allied to hire local boys to toss all your stuff into a truck & hopefully they will get it to your home all in useable condition. Remember, Your items have no value to them... Just the money. This was our 5th. time moving we won't hire them again.

Moving from WV to FL for a new career with a WV crew. Firstly, I have never hired a moving company for a move prior to this experience. Needless to say, I had zero expectations going into this move. I have heard horror stories from friends and family having their personal stuff damaged/late deliveries/horrible customer service regarding moving companies. Knowing this, I was terrified hiring movers for a long distance move. I spoke with many companies and I felt that Allied was the most thorough and personal. The virtual survey with Joe was quick and painless. My move coordinator, Donna, was reassuring and professional answering every question I had. Communication was fluid with appropriate call back times. I will also state that I purchased this move with full insurance. Second, I lived in a small apartment with a couple of heavy furniture pieces. I decided to pack myself knowing that I did not have many boxes to pack. I cannot speak for packing services; however, my furniture was wrapped meticulously and my TVs were boxed (requested) perfectly. Both arrived without damage. The crew utilized lots of pads, wrapping and were considerate of my floors using runners to walk on. Third, my delivery was spot on with estimated dates with the crew going as far as a evening unpack due to unforeseen circumstances. As stated above, communication was fluid and professional with Gary (driver) as the move was under way. Also, my move was over Thanksgiving weekend, so I was impressed that delivery was on time without hiccups dealing with one of the busiest traveling weekends. Fourth, the crew worked hard and were careful with my belongings. They placed things were I wanted, but I also took the time to itemize for my use. It was self explanatory where my boxes were going. Gary also gave me moving tips for next time which I can appreciate. This specific crew were personable and fun, which made this process less intimidating. I felt taken care of and my stress surrounding the move was decreasing. Despite hearing of terrible experiences, including reviews below, I am beyond satisfied with my service and crew that I will utilize them in the future. All my furniture was placed where I requested, TV stands put back together and my Sleep Number bed set up.(Thanks Jr!) I am happy with this company and the service rendered.

These idiots don’t even deserve a one star review. Worst moving company used to this date. So far, Allmysons movers were the best I’ve used. Next company I’m trying is Helping Hands moving and storage. Allied moved me from Jacksonville to Virginia and I’m finding broken item after broken item. They sent one lady to pack our stuff the day before. She spent 6 hours there, by herself, and it looks like she only spent an hour to pack everything. It was just thrown everywhere. We’re up to nearly $4,000 in broken stuff, and counting. A Tiffany stained glass floor lamp, $1,600, Temptations dishes, Lenox dishes (which were wrapped in paper four plates per paper, with shoes and then books on top of them in the same box. The shoes were squashed and damaged. Women’s business suits damaged. Dresser mirror damaged. Bedside table lamps, damaged. $100 cowgirl hat damaged. The list goes on and on and on and on and on. DO NOT EVER USE THIS MOVER, ESPECIALLY NOT UNTIL THAT WOMAN LOOSES HER JOB! SHE SHOULD BE FIRED FOR COSTING THE COMPANY AT LEAST $5,000!
