The company was one of the only to actually give me a call back in time to set up my cross country move. Both Beth and Shannon were very friendly and helpful setting everything up. I did have the unexpected expense of paying an extra $600 for the shuttle to load my items on a smaller truck since the 18 wheeler would not fit in my apartment complex. Moving pads were used for all furniture, but I am used to having all furniture shrink wrapped and then padded. Because most items didn’t not have the shrink wrap, there was some chipping. I paid to have the crew pack my 47” TV, and they used large packing rubber bands to secure the cardboard around it since they had run out of packing tape. The top of the TV has two indents from the rubber bands, so next time I would insist on tape. I paid to have the crew wrap the mattresses, thinking the covers used would be better than what you can buy at a home improvement store. Each covering was $25. They are the same as what I could have bought on my own. My one mattress arrived without the cover on. I was told it was because they “didn’t have the right size” for the pillow top style. Good thing I had a mattress cover on it, or the mattress would have been ruined. I wouldn’t pay for that service again. Overall, all my things arrived in mostly good condition. I would not re-book.

I used their services to pack and move my fiancé and I from Savannah, GA to Miami, FL. The initial encounter with the in home estimator set the tone. SHE WAS AMAZING. Very helpful, very friendly, very knowledgeable and very realistic. All communication and customer service with the moving coordinator, the driver, and the packers was great. I will definitely be using them again when I make my next move.

I don't know if our experience was a deviation from the norm, but I would not recommend Allied to any of my friends and family. The day of our move, a Friday, the first crew arrived at 11:30am, even though my arrival window was 8-10am, which I was willing to let go, but an hour into them working they received a call and were told to stop working, that they had been sent in error. Two and a half hours later, a semi arrives and proceeds to run over my neighbors mailbox. The entire time the second crew was at my home the driver had a headset on and was taking personal calls, and the other two gentlemen kept telling how happy I should be that they were there. I had to constantly remind the crew what they would be moving, even though the first crew created an inventory list for them to use. They also destroyed the tread in my bathroom doorway. A conversation with our move manager revealed that the driver had not followed the plan she had laid out, and decided to come on his own, and that the first crew should have been there all along. After a long and stressful day I thought for sure the worst was behind me, until Monday morning roles around and I get a call from the driver that he is in front of my new house to drop off my belongings without any notice, even though I'd been told I'd be given a days notice. Our move manager told us that we had originally been scheduled for Tuesday delivery, but that the driver had once again gone rogue and decided to do things his own way without telling anyone. Most of our belongings arrived in one piece and without damage, and I didn't have to drive a UHaul across the country, which is the one positive of this whole experience. I still don't understand how some of my most durable possessions were the things that broke, but that was probably due to the poor job handling and packing my belongings into the truck.

    Response from the owner

Thank you for the review Kait and we are sorry your move didn't go as planned. Communication is key to a move and that didn't happen. We will be working with the driver on future moves.
