      Avoid this company at ALL COSTS. We used AM Inc recently to move from NYC to FL. In summary: - Our delivery arrived 24 days after loading and with 1.5hrs notice given. - The company provided no update and have ignored us completely throughout and are not responding to our messages even now - hence the review. - Our items had significant damage and all of our furniture (which was packed by AM) was damaged or in some cases completely destroyed - Items are missing including a 55inch television and suitcase full of belongings The damaged and missing items actually far outweigh the cost of the move itself and so far the company have made no attempt to reach out and speak to us, nor explain how we can claim for the missing and damaged items, let alone apologize for our distressing experience. Full story: We found Always Moving on Movebuddha website and were encouraged by the strong reviews and legitimacy the website seemed to give it. We were cautious of not hiring a 'cowboy' moving company as there seemed to be so many horror stories online. The agent from Always Moving, Jason, was very helpful at the time and promised us the world (he said that although he couldn't officially guarantee it - there was a good chance our items would actually arrive within 5- 7 days); so we felt that we could trust this company - being a smaller, more personal firm with friendly staff and good reviews. Come moving day , the team were all friendly and seemed to do an efficient job at packing up. We provided refreshments for the crew and tipped generously. Then NOTHING for 24 days. Nada. During this time we received no updates or communication from the company despite reaching out several times - always politely. When we did get someone on the phone (which was just 3 times and each time it felt like they had picked up by accident and were kicking themselves that it was us) we were told that they did not know where our items were as: 1- their computers had been hacked; 2- their systems were down and the 3 - department handling it were away. All very short , dismissive calls with passive aggressive tones and leaving us feeling more helpless each time. Fast forward to last Friday - we get a call at 7:30pm saying our items would be arriving the following morning - so we got prepared, got access to loading bay etc. only for no-one to show up with no updates again. On Sunday afternoon we finally get a call from the driver himself stating they are 1.5hrs away. Well, at this point we were just happy to be getting our things after having nothing for nearly a month. Nail in the coffin : The delivery arrives with no TV, many possessions missing and extensive damage - every item of furniture broken or damaged except a table; these items were even 'professionally' packed by the movers in NYC. Furthermore, the movers were friendly and helpful guys but they were totally exhausted and there were only two of them. We ended up doing half of the moving ourselves and were lugging boxes and wheeling dollys to get the job done - the guys were stressed as they had three more moves to do that day and this was at 3pm on Sunday! The company are clearly taking on more than they can manage at the expense of quality and care - which, when safeguarding and transporting peoples lives effectively - is the most intrinsic part of a moving service. This has been a hugely distressing experience and even now, despite emailing, leaving voice messages and using the website inquiry box - we are being ignored the company - who were all too fast too take our money only to damage and lose our items without the professional decency to even communicate with us. Please, do not be fooled by the large number of positive reviews as it is simply not worth the risk. Pay a bit more and go for a household name brand. I have never had to leave a negative review in my life and am often wary of those who do. However, this service really could not have been worse and I feel duty bound - even if jus one person is able to avoid this experience...

      I don’t even know where to begin with this company. I would never ever ever ever hire them. We regret our decision every single day. It was a truly miserable experience that resulted in months of fighting and 10+ pieces of furniture severely damaged. Our final price was more than double what we were quoted and riddled with hidden extra fees. I’m still waiting for a valid explanation as to why the price was so high, but I’ve been waiting for 2 months now. Their customer service has been truly awful, not answering calls, avoiding us, yelling at us disrespectfully and giving us the run around. It took me over a month to schedule the delivery of our items and spent countless hours fighting with them. Not one aspect of this move went well and my wife and I are devastated at all of our items being destroyed.

      If I could give less than one star, I would. We hired Always Moving, Inc. to move my 79 year old father from Florida to California. David Parker, the sales rep, was a very convincing salesman and warned me to watch out for a list of bad behaviors from other moving companies. I'm sorry to say that Always Moving, Inc. checked off each box he warned me about. They used Covid as an excuse not to come to the property to give a proper estimate. I added to the estimated cubic feet before the date of pickup as I was worried they wouldn't show up with a big enough truck. They were 4 days late to pick up. We hired them for a full pack. When the truck arrived in California, the first 20 items we pulled out where all broken. Most of the tables with legs have been broken. They outsourced ALL of the work. The packing company that came to my father's home was a subcontractor. The company that drove the items cross-country was also a sub-contractor. When the driver arrived he used craigslist to hire 'movers' to unload the truck. The first crew left as they wanted guarantees that they would be paid. The second crew stayed. A father and son team that had no experience at all. Pretty sure they got stiffed at the end of the job not getting paid for all the time they put in. Apparently they were too slow. Interesting since all were instructed to wait for my full payment to go through before they were allowed to even begin. Of course the total owed was miscalculated in their favor, so we had to clear that up before we could get started. Somehow they missed a few thousand dollars of payments from me in their final calculations. As we noticed all the broken items we were told we had a few months to file a claim. There was packing tape taped to the front screen of the televisions. Large boxes had been used to throw together mixed items like art, small end tables and vases. All found broken when unpacked. One chest of drawers was missing completely. I contacted the company and was immediately sent a claim form and told I have 30 days from the date of receipt of the claim form to respond with a list of damaged items accompanied with photos. I complied and never heard from the company again. It's been a month since I sent them my claim. I call and leave messages, send emails, and just get silence. Use anyone else. It doesn't get much worse than this. Every day my dad asks me what is going on with the moving company. Every day I have to tell him they haven't had the decency to respond. Oh, and Always Moving, Inc. recommended a company to transport my father's vehicle. It was damaged to the tune of $1900 in transport. Still trying to collect from them as well.
