  Excellent customer service, all employees of American Lighthouse go above and beyond to create the best shipping experience possible. Have done business with the company for 8 years and have never had a truck deliver late or miss a deadline to load. American Lighthouse is a critical part of the success of our company and we appreciate their dedication and service.

  DO NOT BOOK LOADS WITH THESE PEOPLE OR DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND IGNORANT. THERE WASNT A APPROPRIATE DELIVERY ADDRESS AND THE RECEIVER NEVER HAD THIS LOAD EUNNING AFTER THE CARRIER WAS LOADED AND STRAP AMERICAN LIGHTHOUSE TRANSPORTATION DIDNT PAY AT ALL FOR THE TIME AND WORK THAT WAS DONE.

  We booked a load with this carrier EV TRANSSTATE LLC, a company out of Clarksburg, MD. The dispatcher Alex got upset because we provided GPS coordinates along with the highway name for the delivery address. We explained that the load was delivering to a job-site and that there was no address like the US Postal Service assigns. We also explained that we have shipped 8-10 loads to this very same location many of which were hauled by our own drivers and delivered, without any problem. Alex was also upset because the contact at the delivery was not answering. We were working on providing her with a second contact at the site when Alex called back and said if we did not provide an exact address (which we did via GPS coordinates) then she was going to have her driver just unload it and that we could pay them a truck-ordered-not-used fee. Alex said we didn’t understand trucking and that we were ignorant and that she was not going to send her driver to the delivery location unless we had an actual address. We tried to work with Alex to get her to understand that the GPS location was the delivery location. When it became clear that we were not going to be able to resolve the issue with Alex and after multiple threats that she was going to sue us, we realized this was not a good match for either party and decided to cancel the load with this carrier. We strongly value the carriers who haul for us and in any case where we or our customers have made a mistake, we will definitely pay a truck-ordered-not-used fee. Over our 20+ years we have been in business, we have paid multiple truck-ordered-not-used fees to carriers even when we have not been able to collect from the customer and when it was not our fault. However, the load was exactly as we explained verbally and exactly as we outlined on the confirmation that was sent to Alex and signed by Alex prior to them picking up the load. We did not cancel the load with this company because the load was cancelled or because information was incorrect, we cancelled the load with this carrier because the dispatcher was insulting us, threatening us and not willing to work with us on a professional level. During this process, however, we did speak with the driver and he was very nice to us at all times. The problem was not their driver in our experience.
