  Nick and his team, Andrew and Danny, did a perfect job from start to finish. Nick is extremely kind and professional. He came to the job site to check out our needs and introduce himself. When he realized it was a job for just two movers, Nick left and kept in touch with me and ended up meeting us at our new home to help reassemble furniture. Andrew and Danny are very hard working and smart in their moving techniques. My partner and I feel like it could not have gone better. We feel very fortunate to have met Nick and his team and we definitely recommend Big Oxen for all your moving needs.

  Big Oxen Moving Company is a great local company for your move. They were very kind and professional during our move and very affordable. I love supporting local businesses and this is definitely one I would move with again and again and again. They had left one of their blankets at my new apartment and I was coming back down to Bloomington to clean my old apartment and I met up with the owner to give back the blanket. He offered to help me with any other moving things I had left but I told him that I was okay. You can tell just working with this company that they want to give the best service possible. I highly recommend this company for your next move.

  I really wanted to support this local business, but our service was awful. Communication leading up to the move was questionable and I never got firm answers on dates and arrival time. They were supposed to clean before we moved in, the day of they called and said the cleaners were sick so the owner would do it himself. He spent 5.25 hrs at my house “cleaning” but it looked hardly touched other than carpets cleaned. The next day they were scheduled to move our furniture. They showed up late and with a tiny box truck, when I clearly stated we had a 3 bedroom house with large items to be moved. At this point we said forget it and sent them home. Maybe we experienced an “off” week for them but I cannot recommend these services. *There was no mention of a family emergency to me at the time. We called another moving service that was able to get us in the next day and the service/communication was night and day.

  We apologize for our performance on this day and thank you for your patience as we try accommodate more jobs. The local 16 foot truck is inclusive with all moving options and can hold a standard 2 bedroom home. Most likely would have been two loads. We were short staffed trying to accommodate. We cannot plan for family emergencies and unseen circumstances that impede our ability to perform at our best. We would have been glad to offer some kind of reasonable agreement or solution. Often times we have nobody in the office to handle constant communication as we are all out in the field working or mobile and in smart phone devices.
