  I rented 6 jacking-shoring posts from Buckingham for a residential center beam replacement. After several initial failed "DIY" attempts, I searched the market for a safer solution that wouldn't kick-out under load and found only two products that were well suited for both jacking and shoring in "heavy" residential applications. Of those two companies, only Buckingham offered rentals, so I went with them. As an engineer, I can appreciate how much thought and detail went into designing this product, which allows users to jack with the hydraulic cylinders (the pressure gauge was key in coordinating the lifting force among a group of posts) and shore with the pins. The threaded collars can be finely adjusted against the pinned collars as the jacks are raised, so no progress is lost when pressure is released. These are beautifully designed, quality products that made light work of my heavy lift.
