  This is my yelp review for my Budget truck reservation that I made for our move about a month ago (2017). I rented a budget truck online. Then about 2 weeks before pick-up or so, I got an email reminder from budget,so far so good. The actual day of the move I travel 35 minutes to pick up my 16' truck with a dolly at 9 AM. Here was the problem, they did not have a truck for me. The attendant told me plain blank: "oh yea, that happens all the time with budget". Didn't he know that he was supposed to have a truck for me? If I got an email, I would expect that they received one as well. Anyway, I was offered to speak to corporate customer service. I connected on the phone to their support overseas somewhere. The operator told me: "the rate is guaranteed, but not the truck" Let that sink in...Wow, the rate is a given when you sign for a reservation, but I need the truck before I could care about the rate. The owner/attendant of the place did not think of trying to get me a truck himself with other budget locations. He gave me their phone numbers to let me work it out. Thanks. After unsuccessfully trying for 15 minutes to get a hold of the nearest budget operator over the phone I drove away. I needed a truck that very day and time, there was no time to waste. I found a u-haul with the last truck and dolly combination many miles around in Visalia, the next town over, thank God. UHaul had me going out the door in about 30 minutes. About 2 hours latter a budget manager called me telling me that they had a 12' truck coming to Tulare. I wast told that the truck would be there by 2 PM, it was a 12' and no dolly. I asked him how was that supposed to replace the 16' truck and dolly that I needed that very morning, and why it was not in Tulare when I had made a reservation almost 4 weeks ahead? Again the manager reminded me that "The rate is guaranteed, but not the truck". No apology or explanation, he didn't seem to care much over the phone either. This guys lost me as a customer, budget will be the last company that I would call. And this place could not care less. The place gets a single star. This was in 2017.

  My daughter reserved the truck for 22 foot and when we got over to South K Street in Tulare the man said he didn't have a truck available he didn't seem to really know too much about what was really going on with his Uhaul business it was very confusing and he left us feeling as if we went to the wrong place. The 17 foot truck that usually runs for 39 99 he wanted 7999 because he said that's what showed up on his computer screen. So we laughed just greatly disappointed.
