A year ago Rick and his team sold 3 households/(farm) worth of items for My family. Rick gave an impression ( is pencil on his clipboard) of value of contents being between $7500-$10,000 without any garantees, I gave Rick $400 deposit to get started. He spent an afternoon going through and giving advice on "quantity" and "big items" to draw in more bidders for online auction. Collected Coins, and antique jewelry, were taken home with one team member ( Mary) to have sold and no paperwork provided. I was told it brought back about $200. The team sorting through items left majority of the lots out to be rained on and only brought tarps to cover after I called voice concerns about lack of care for my property being exposed to weather. The following day the wind blew over beautiful 1930s oversized wooden/ glass shop door from downtown corpus christi, leaving the glass shattered and door ruined. This auction insured tools( antique to sears table saw) jewelry, signed artwork with authentication , furniture, many collectibles, antique farm items, livestock head gate ect, ect, ect. After said and done I recieved Only My $400 deposit back, basically I have given away 3 generations of items, and I'm still cleaning up the tape off of the walls where the team marked lots for auction. The deal was to place any items seemed unsellable in a pile back yard sorted by "burnable trash" "scrap metal" "dump" the team couldn't distinguish what difference was, and put mixed items in black trash bags. I had to then sort through for days mixed with the teams garbage. I am still extremely dissapointed in outcome, the treatment of My property and lack of professionalism. I waited this long to leave this review to let my distrust resolve. However, today I still feel the same, and feel that others hopefully will not find themselves in similar situations. One star because there are no way to express the real dissapointment to represention of services provided. $0 dollars for $ks of property. Thanks for the sick feelings Caring Transitions.
Response from the owner
We sincerely thank you for the feedback and we are sorry you were disappointed with the outcome of the project. We recognize and understand how difficult it is to sell years of possessions that carry many memories with them. We strive to do our best to achieve the best values possible within the local resale/liquidation environment. Again, we thank you for your feedback and will review our processes to see how we can influence the value of our services going forward. If you have any further questions, please reach out to us at 979-431–0520.
