  Joanna and John have obvious experience with moving. Their prior experiences helped us know what to expect, and they did come through with the actual successful move. Nothing was broken. The packing and unpacking team was most excellent. The only trouble was with using the elevators at the retirement community, and that was out of our control. ...it just takes as long as it takes... John was a big help making it all happen, and at the end with hanging shelves and heavy objects on the walls. And one of the movers was knowledgeable about moving Sleep Number beds. We did not use their services for the space planning since we had other resources for that piece. And the clearing out of the almost empty house will be extra $$. Overall, they were helpful and knowledgeable and they helped us get my folks settled in the timeframe we needed.

  John and Joanna were great to do business with. They were professional and explained their aoroach to as to what they do and what to expect that made them different than other companies. I feel they went beyond what I expected. You knew the costs, time schedules and they kept them. As to the virtual tour it was very unique. I was very surprised by the results. They are insured and growing their business by leaps and bounds by hard work. Give then a call and you too could be sleeping in your new home, and bed the first night

  I had an immediate need for a mover for my elderly Mother from her house to an Assisted Living apartment, and it was during the Christmas holiday season, also. YIKES! John Milkay returned my message immediately and set up a meeting at her home with my husband and myself for the next day, where we planned the move for the following Tuesday, Dec. 21, which worked best for our schedule (this was on the previous Friday). Within a couple of days, He and his movers were actually moving my Mother's furniture and boxed items to her new AL home and by early that evening, we helped her into our car and she was in her new apartment. She remained in her house throughout the loading of the Moving truck and barely realized that anyone new was in her home. They were all Super Respectful and Pleasant. John and his movers were very professional, while being very personable and relatable/friendly. It only took a couple of hours to load her furniture onto their truck and double-check to make sure they had all we needed to take and we all took the short trip to her nearby AL facility that John Already had a relationship with. They used the closest entrance to the elevators to her apartment, while avoiding all the the usual activity of a Senior Care Community, thereby NOT disrupting the Community Members or their families/activities and unloaded and setup all her furniture in a Super speedy manner. I don't believe that any residents even realized a Mover was working to setup a new apartment, they were so quiet and efficient. Perfect Service! I would recommend Caring Transitions of South Birmingham to anyone who needs to move a Senior, especially in a quick, time-sensitive way and John Milkay listened to all of my concerns and addressed them all perfectly. Low Stress, Excellent Experience.
