  They were quick to get Todd out to the house for the estimate and he explained the entire process and got us on their schedule for the dates we requested. Matt and his team arrived on time to pack and load. This included 2 days of packing and 2 days of loading. Because our move was under 450 miles (420) we had Matt and his team as the transport and unloading guys too. It all went smoothly and nothing got lost or broken. I would definitely recommend Central Van Lines part of Allied for your moving needs.

  We moved from Charleston WV to Irvine California. The move was flawless the furniture came when they told us. When we thought something was missing I called the driver and immediately he checked confirmed and delivered the item next day..great service

  Even though some aspects of the move were great, I can't recommend the company overall. Our sales estimator was professional and fantastic, and our quote was reasonable for a long distance move. The rest of the experience leaves much to be desired though. We had multiple items arrive damaged--some beyond repair--and multiple items not arrive at all. With a 700 mile move, I could have accepted that as part of the process. The major issue I have is the extreme lack of communication afterwards. Aside from the truck driver who delivered at the final destination, no one at Central Van Lines or Allied has even bothered to apologize for the issues we've had with this move. The extreme lack of empathy is disturbing, but it's the type of service I came to expect living in West Virginia. I know if I were in charge of a place that charges multiple thousands of dollars for service, I would be immediately on the phone with the customer who was sleeping on a mattress on the floor because my company didn't ship the hardware to assemble the bed as promised.
