  I should have known when I didn't get a copy of the agreement/contract that something was fishy.Each month I came in to pay then no one was ever there.Ive called multiple times over the past months and it has a recording that mailbox is full.I've went by there numerous times and I've left letters and nothing.I noticed the last time I was there that almost every unit had double locks on them.Last week I received a letter stating that my unit would be disposed of today if they haven't received payment.Hello?? Ive attempted to call, write letters, and come by and no one ever answers.I have filed a complaint on this company.I simply want my belongings.I have many sentimental items in it that can never be replaced.

  Normally I do not respond to posted comments. However, I felt the need to as I feel that the comments previously posted about this business by Ms. Cutshaw, are completely false. My family have been long time renters at Chapman Highway Mini Storage. We recently had to close our account as we moved out of state. However, for all the years that we were there, we found the manager, Mark, to be very helpful and friendly. There was never a time that we could not find him on the premises, unless it was one of the days that the office is closed or it was after hours, as he does not live on sight.Ms. Cutshaw said she went to the business every month to make payment. If she was truly making a payment then she could have dropped the payment through the door or mailed it to the business or left it in one of the letters she said she was leaving at the business, as those are options for payment with or without a contract and if she didn't receive a copy of the contract, she could have asked for one. My family fell on bad times when my husband lost his job. Mark, was very accommodating and helped us thru that time period. He allowed us to go without making payments for a few months as we made a promise to pay at a future date and we made sure to keep that promise. He did have to lock us out of our unit, as he does with all delinquent accounts.(He politely explained that to us and we understood. He certainly can't show favoritism.) We made sure to keep in contact with him and he always answered our calls. This is a small, local business that relies on their customers to pay their rent so that the manager can get paid and the business can pay it's bills. Some people just don't seem to care or get that. Just because it's called a Self-Storage, doesn't mean you get free rental of their units or you can pay whenever you feel like it. Ms. Cutshaw must have gone a VERY LONG time without making payment on her unit for them to have sent a letter of disposal of her belongings.
