  By this time, I hope anyone who sees the 1.6 star rating and reads the other reviews understands this company is HORRENDOUS. They INTENTIONALLY deceive you through flat out lies, hidden fees, and fine print. But, this just scratches the surface. It is not simply their dishonesty in person and over the phone, nor the scam they operate with cost, they also didn't deliver our stuff for TWO MONTHS. They broke contract and refuse to acknowledge it. On top of it all, they also destroyed our things. Perhaps the most illustrative example is our dining table - they SAWED OFF the crossbeam and delivered it STRAPPED TO THE BACK OF A RENTAL TRUCK. They didn't give us the crossbeam. They also didn't deliver a number of items - box spring, part of the bed frame, mattress and other items. We have pages of documentation and photos revealing more examples of what became the worst moving experience one can imagine. PLEASE do not make the same mistake we did, trusting this company to provide the services it promised with integrity and honesty. Do not trust any online ratings, including BBB. As this review, and others reveal, CCM&S is not concerned with customer satisfaction or service, they are in fact fraudulent and deceitful, making the moving experience as difficult and stressful as possible for you, for the sake of their own gain.

  I moved with Cross Country Movers last week from PA to FL. The estimation process was pretty simple. I gave them a list of the items I had in my house and the man gave me a price. I was shopping around and so I told him that I would think about it and they gave me a $300 discount for booking in advance. On move day, the guys showed up about 15 minutes from when they said they would but they did have trouble finding my place. They wrapped all my furniture, took the bed apart, and loaded everything in the truck. They were careful with the items. I paid the man, and headed to Florida. It took my stuff about a week to get to Florida but I can't complain as their prices were about a quarter of the companies that would get it there in 3 days. The delivery driver, Patrick and his helpers put all my items where I asked, unwrapped everything. I had 1 tiny scratch on a table leg, but other than that, everything was perfect. I paid about $3300 for my move in total and it was worth it , even with the little scratch. They offered to fix it but where it goes in my house you cant even see it.

  they give me an estimate of $1700 , $4 per cf, as they quoted for 2 bedroom. When they come yo my apt the price become without taking a measurement or without checking the list!!! the final price $3400 for company and 300 cash for labor works. * they charge me $7 per cf for additional not $4 they keep me waiting 25 days not 1 weeks as they promised * Finally on delivery date they said you have to pay $800 because you need small truck to reach your home, the truck driver is waiting for your response and we will charge you for waiting time call him ASAP * I called the driver after 45mints, he said I’m going back to Chicago!!! * Drove a U-Haul chasing him , its cost me 200 $ and 120$ labor upload from U-Haul to my apt
