      Sorry but our experience was absolutely horrible and would never recommend this company to anyone. Had to use them as it was booked/ paid for by my employer. Felt my coordinator was a poor communicator and when I said we could start move literally any time, she should have been more clear that it could take 2-4 weeks for our belongings to arrive! The packers were probably the biggest problem- with a complete disregard/ disrespect to our belongings so it was no surprise that almost every large piece of furniture was damaged/ cracked/ scratched, my china shattered, mirrors broken etc. Packers, loaders, & unloaders all different teams- who all complained about the other- and unloaders had trouble putting things together since wasn't packed together/ labeled correctly. They just started leaving boxes in garage (that were clearly labeled kitchen, master closet etc)...so ultimately ended with more work, headache, cleanup than if we had done it all ourselves. You can use TWO MEN AND A TRUCK and receive much better service and care for significantly cheaper!

      Dunmar was THE BEST for every aspect of our move, from scheduling, to packing up a variety of items, to on time pick up and delivery. We especially appreciated their expert disassembly of a huge Breakfront bookcase to take to auction. They also safely packed large paintings, as well as fragile lamps, and antique furniture. They calmed our anxiety because they were so capable, and easy to work with. It was easy to communicate with them by email text and phone, and kept us informed every step of the way. We would definitely use Dunmar Moving Systems again!

      Generally speaking this company moved my entire house and storage unit relatively unscathed. The Drivers and Loaders were efficient. On the flip side the Companies planning and all the communications with the Insurance portion was a disaster. 1. I didn't use packing services - so their system automatically changed the shipping date to a day earlier. Without warning I was woken up to a call from the driver of a giant semi-truck a day before they were supposed to arrive. It took at least 2 hrs out of my day to get it straightened out and ensure that my stuff would be picked up the next day 2. The delivery was scheduled for a 2 bedroom apartment and both a medium and a large storage unit. When the semi-truck arrived the driver thought he was only loading a 1 bedroom apartment. Half his truck was already packed with another shipment. He was able to load my whole apartment and about 2/3 of one of my storage units 3. The company scheduled an overflow truck to pick-up the rest of our stuff the next day. Mind you I am already on my way out of town, so my father in-law had to help them get into the units. They sent a local box truck - not a mover to grab the remaining items. From there it was stuck in their storage facility 4. It took me several weeks to get the company to give me a date of when my remaining stuff would be delivered. They were NOT communicating with me - I had to constantly contact them. It was a huge hassle. While this is happening the Sales and move coordinator are ensuring me that any delays past the move days would be up for a credit per the contract. 5. Once all my items arrive and I slowly take inventory of damaged & missing items and I file a claim for those and the delay. Most of my claims were denied. The delay credit that I was ensured would be honored by the Sales & Move coordinator was immediately denied as supposedly that is only for per diem expenses (not at all how it was explained to me). "We have received your delay claim form. Unfortunately, after carefully reviewing the information your claim has been denied. The delivery spread on your move was 11/21/20 thru 11/25/20 and your items delivered on 11/21/20. I understand a second portion as left behind. This is never something the van lines intends to have happen. When this does happen we would offer the customer to purchase any items of necessity that were left behind. Items of necessity would include an air mattress if a bed was left behind. Other items of necessity would include blankets, linens, pillows and kitchen items. Please provide any receipts and I would be glad to look at your claim again. Please accept my apologies on behalf of Allied Van Lines." They would not reimburse me for the missing items because I didn't declare them to the driver (it was a step stool and paint canvas - not a huge piece of furniture that was easily noticeable). "Since you did not indicate that any specific items were not delivered to you when the shipment was delivered; the carrier is unable to allow for the step stool and spool of canvas that you have claimed as missing on the claim form. We are not able to support that any items went missing while in the carriers’ possession based on our investigation of your claim." There were 2 items damaged in the move that were clearly broken because something heavier was stacked on them or they were dropped / fell during transport - but because they didn't pack them they were denied. "the shipment documents and the claim form supports that these items were not packed the carrier but by owner carton/items (PBO) and without any notations of carton damages or tampering the carrier is unable to allow for contents." Bottomline - they will eventually get all your stuff there mostly in one piece - but don't count on aany accountability. I would definitely never use this company again with as much personal time that I wasted and the extra money for tipping the overflow drivers and loaders (it wasn't their faults for the delay).
