  Larry's team has helped me with my mobile home several times --- this winter we had frozen pipes, they came back 3 times until it was done right (took a little bit to figure out where the problem was). Last -10 spell we finally no frozen pipes. Glad we won't have to worry about that anymore! And yes, we paid a fair and not unreasonable price....happy to. It's great that there is a professional company that knows how to handle mobile home repairs properly here in Sioux City. Handymen are a dime a dozen - they rarely show up on time, and won't call you back. Ellis is not in that category - they call you, follow up, and get it done properly. We will call them again.

  this place is a joke they told my mom on the phone that in order to thaw out her pipes they wouldnt be able to let her know of a price untill they get here ....when they arrived they told us they had to thaw out a 10" pipe, replace a 8" pipe, and apply heat tape and insulation to prevent it from happening again.....never once told us a price for this to be done, now i can admit that we should of questioned it but we had no idea we were dealing with the biggest joke in Sioux City....needless to say we were bent over because another person in this world is trying to get rich off of nothing! FINAL PRICE WAS 263.00 FOR 1.25 HRS PLUS REPAIR, THEN ON TOP OF IT THEY ADDED A 62.00 CHARGE TO HAVE TO BILL US FOR A WEEK AND A HALF. Needless to say i was not happy because at the point of seeing the bill the work was completely done and when i talked to LARRY ELLIS the owner of the company with absolutely no customer service skills at all he told me if i didnt like it he would have his guys come back and take everything off and when i asked him to explain his charges and why they were so inflated he became even more billigerant with me and was doing nothing but talking over me and not letting me ask anymore questions , i ended up hanging up on him. A short time later his guys showed back up and told me that we were told of the price pryor to them showing up thats why they didnt say anything but now remember we were told they didnt know until they got here.......he goes on to tell me that LARRY'S sister apparently the secretary of the company was telling LARRY and the workers she did tell us the price . Now look if i would have been told that it was going to cost 325.00 i would of told her to get lost because its going to be above freezing for the next few days. Just to sum it up i wouldnt recommend this P.O.S. to anyone and if you go to him i promise youll be sorry! OH LARRY BY THE WAY YOU MIGHT WANNA GO TO BUSINESS SCHOOL SO YOU KNOW HOW TO PROPERLY WRITE A INVOICE WITH AND GET A SIGNATURE FROM YOUR CUSTOMER BEFORE WORK IS DONE.....LOL!

  I'd like to set this straight. 1st we have been in business for over 20 years so our customer service and prices are fair. And nobody is getting rich here. When this boys Mother called she was instructed that we never know how much it will cost to thaw out lines since no water lines are the same length and it is impossible to know how long it will take to thaw out. second we also tell every customer we get paid as soon as we are done with the job and have done that after our 1st year of being in business for obvious reasons. My employees showed up and replaced water line added new heat tape, new heat tape end, wrapped line with insulation tubes wrapped riser with insulation and with a $35 service call the parts total came to $163.00 That leaves $100 for two men 1.5 hr's $33 a man. tell me where you will find anyone to crawl under a Mobile Home in below zero weather any less. Upon finishing the job his Mother told us she had no money. It is very hard to maintain a business if nobody ever has any money to pay hence why we have for over 20 years requested payment after job is completed. His Mother asked for time to pay I told her if she could get it paid in a month I would knock $62 off bill. This was in December. Each month I had to take time out to try and collect on this bill since she never came to us or mailed payment. When it took over a month I added the $62 back on. as of 8 months later of constantly asking for our money and her son calling my office and yelling at our secretary I decided it was best to not pursue any further and let them keep the $62. So as you can see there is always two sides to a story.
