  We used Flat Rate moving for our cross country move from LA to Miami. When they delivered our items, several were broken, our dining table top was missing (base was delivered but not the top!), our couch was broken, dishes and personal items were damaged, and multiple boxes (10-15) were missing. We reached out, had several emails back and forth sharing receipts, values, etc. which totaled $10,000. Flat Rate sent a check for $750. We have been trying for over 6 months to get someone to follow up with us to understand how they could be at fault for ALL of this and have the gall to send a check for $750. Unacceptable doesn't do justice to how this has been handled. Flat Rate should be ashamed.

  The whole experience with the FlatRate team was excellent. No comparison with other movers we have used in the past. FlatRate is light years ahead of the competition. Guy : prompt, professional, precise, cordial, efficient, considerate, nice to work with. Ivan, Jon and Milos : prompt, precise, experienced, very knowledgeable, cordial, helpful, hard working, focused, efficient, well mannered, trustworthy, reliable, outstanding. What a great team !!!!!!! Will call them again, and no one else, as soon as we need another move.

  I wish I could say good things about Flat Rate moving, but I cannot. I have been waiting for delivery of my furniture and other goods going on a month. There has been little communication and honesty from the company. However, I have discovered that my out-of-state move is still in Florida awaiting transit! One person said he was having problems because the move is small. If it is too small to deliver, it was too small to pick up. The company should have taken a pass. I take no pleasure in waiting a negative review. However, at this pace, I worry I will never see my goods again. My next step will be to file an official complaint with federal and/or state authorities. They have left me no choice. UPDATE: My small move did arrive in DC in late April several weeks late, minus a beloved painting we owned for over 30 years. We have filed a claim on this but have not heard back. Obviously, we would dearly love the return of the painting, which meant a lot to us. The moving truck was on its way to New York from DC, so the original art work may very well be in NY. If anyone sees this painting (photo attached) or has any information about it, please know it has an owner – me – and feel free to contact me via this review. Thank you.
