  They Have raised the rent twice in less than a year. I received an email that the rent will increase again. The email says 30 days notice of rate hike, but the rate hike occurs in 14 days and not 30 days. The problem is if you are away like many who use this location they know you can not do anything about the sudden rate changes and have to accept them of your stuff gets auctioned. . If you store here expect the rate to suddenly go up with less than 30 days notice. But there is more, once they jack up the rate they will find new fees to tag on. My contract never mentioned renters insurance is required and when asked to show me where it is written they never replied. Renters insurance is fine if you were told about it when you first rented a storage, but not fine if you were not required in your contract. Yet they will tag that fee on, with them collecting 110% more than the actual value of the renters insurance, how do I know, I received a letter from the insurance stating the premium and it had a 110% mark up. Rest assure when I return to Yuma I am looking for a new storage location, too many sudden surprise rent hikes with in a year is bad business. Update 2021: Another surprise Rate HIKE. This time 50%. What they are doing is waiting for the snowbirds to return to Canada, and then send out that email that they are raising their rates again. Knowing many people have left for the season and have no choice but to pay it. Do not be fooled by their low price storage fee it is temporary. As they are guilty of raising their rates with little notice multiple times with in a year. Try one of the other storage facilities

  DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE FACILITY. My furniture after 2 weeks of storage was infested with termites. It’s been 3 months since I have filed a claim with the insurance company GILA RIDGE PROVIDED.. and they still fail to cover the damages. I’m not someone who usually posts reviews, but if you value your belongs don’t use this facility. And if Gila Ridge Storage would like to read this review and help recuperate some of my lost furniture please contact me, since your “management” refuses to return any of my calls.

  Had to store my teardrop trailer over the weekend while visiting Yuma area. Keith gave me a great short term rate, cheaper than staying one night at a good RV campground with full hookups. 24 hour secure, safe storage lot. Easy access to interstate. Excellent, friendly service.
