  I don't do reviews. however, these people did not tell me about the extra two hours I would have to pay for (travel) at the time of booking. get the quote in writing have them sign it.. they basically stole $500 from me. nice enough movers, bad business.

  All movers charge for travel time , as the workers don’t drive for free and have to be paid. There is also gas for the trip and sometimes tolls . This is why movers get paid by the hour, from when they leave the warehouse to the job, doing the job, to the time they return, whether they have to drive two hours down the Jersey shore, and the two hours back for a moving job , or just a half hour drive to the job and half hour back . That’s the way it works. We always tell customers that on the phone when we book , although most people realize that already . So Sorry you did not understand that. Glad we did a nice job for you . We pride ourselves on good guys and a good job.

  I used this moving company last month based on my realtor’s recommendation and prior reviews. I also chose them because they could accommodate my specific move date. I was told by the guy that came and did an in person estimate that the move could take 2-3 days & that my indoor items would be moved on the first day & second day outside furniture. They quoted me one number, then when I asked for it in writing it went up $2000. I ended up paying close to an additional $2000 more over the written quote based on a bad estimate that was given & some additional packing they did. They wouldn’t tell me how much extra I would have to pay after several conversations on the moving day. I had a budget for the move & was alarmed by this. In the end they came up with a number that was high but I paid it just to get it over with. They also did not move my separate storing unit which was part of the original quote. On the day of the move, everything was packed on to trucks & when I asked about unpacking the same day they said that couldn’t happen the same day based on the amount of things I had. When I asked why they weren’t doing just the furniture inside like we discussed the owner said we don’t work like that. When I asked about my storage unit the owner said this is the first I heard of it. It was written on the quote from his company. I had to take my family unexpectedly to a hotel overnight & wait until the next day for my stuff to arrive at my new house. There was an issue with the front door & when I arrived around 7 guys were just standing around doing nothing. Not even moving stuff from the truck to bring inside once the door was open. I was paying by the hour. Lastly, they packed my deep freezer & left it overnight unplugged - told me it was ok for 72 hours, even though it was almost 100 degrees on this day. When they brought it back they never plugged it in so it sat until late evening when I checked on it. Food was thawed out & I lost several hundred dollars of food. The only good thing I can say about the move is that they didn’t break anything and they were on time.
