  Bill and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with! I contacted Bill and asked if he could send out a crew to help pack a U-Haul on a Saturday and they did! There was only supposed to be 2 people but they showed up with 3 which made the packing even faster! Their guys did a great job making sure to handle our possessions with care. All the guys were courteous, polite and professional the entire time. If I could have these guys follow me around with all my moves, I would have them! Please send them your business, its well worth it!

  I would not recommend this company to anyone that is looking for a reliable moving service. One thing is being a family business, but that does not justify the complete lack of professionalism. I booked my move four months in advance, directly with the owner. He assured me that my date was on the calendar several times. Only to find out thirty days before that he was double booked and he wouldn't be able to perform my move on the day we agreed or any close date. I planned four months in advance and had to look for a moving company thirty days before, which limited my options. I should have known better when I kept asking him to come see the house to provide a quote. He promised he would come by every week and never did. Once he delivered the bad news, he didn't have the decency of taking my calls.

  Hewes Family Movers saved the day. I had booked movers and ordered a U-Haul, however on the day that they were supposed to show, they called and cancelled (for a valid reason). I contacted several people in town and although Hewes was already booked, they were able to find some movers that were off that day to come and make the move happen. They stayed in constant contact with me and checked in once they had a crew en route. The crew were professional and worked very hard. It's always a game of Tetris to pack the truck and they were experts. They moved 3 storage units and a two bedroom apartment to my new house. They were very careful with all of my furniture and boxes. They were polite and easy to work with. I would hire them again in the future; this time they will be my first call.
