  This is the second time in a little over a year that I’ve had to use J & J Transport to move my Childrens Playhouse. Both times the guys took care in making sure not to damage the structure or the property it was sitting on. The owner, Kevin, is super easy to work with and fit me in last minute in his already hectic and busy schedule. If you need something moved, definitely give these guys a call. Kevin employs a super good group of respectful and hard working men who get the job done. I’ll definitely use them in the future!

  I am the secretary for J and J Transport, LLC. This post is in reply to Jackie Wilson's post. I feel that I need to tell our side of this story. We never moved a home for you Jackie Wilson. However, about 4 months ago we moved a 16x80 mobile home from Arlington, KY to Cairo, IL. If this is the home you are referring to, here are the facts. We did respond in an efficient manner with the quote and the delivery, despite all the rain we had. The lady that we contracted with to move this mobile home was told on 5/10 what the cost would be and that it would be a couple weeks or so before we could get to it, if the weather holds up. On 5/12 the deposit was paid. On 5/19 I called to see if the home was ready to move and it was ready. We began the move on 6/01, 14 days after the home was ready to move, and finished on 6/4. This mobile home had to be moved 230 miles because of lane restrictions on the nearest route. This customer did not have to wait two months for delivery (actually 14 days), we did not charge double, however, it did cost more than your typical move because of the 230 miles that we had to haul it. And we came in at the final cost under the initial quoted amount! The customer was told, in our first conversation, that we would bring the block from the current location but if additional block is needed, the customer is responsible for purchasing the block and getting it to the new location. There was no block under the home for us to bring to the new location. There were never any communication problems, as I was available and in contact with my customer at all times. I am in the office 5 days a week and the customer had my cell phone number. Can you tell me what lies were supposed to have been told? As far as the deposit being paid up front, (we require this with all mobile home moves) this deposit is 100% fully refundable, should the customer decide not to use us. If this is the job you are referencing in your post, you were free to use another mover at all times. We never lied to anyone, we did the job we were paid to do, and in a professional, cost effective, and timely manner.

  I have (0) positive things to say about J&J. Dont waste your time/money/effort/emotions just choose another company. We have waited 2 months for delivery, they charged us double, and they didn't even bring blocks. We paid 18 grand for the trailer that has costed a little over 8000 just for J&J to move it. Have had communications problems with J&J the entire two months that we were supposed to get it delivered with plenty of lies given to us along the way. I would simply choose a different company but we had already paid up front-BIG mistake.
