  Like Donna, I had a horrendous experience with this company. My agreement with International Van Lines was outsourced to LA Movers. Not only were they 75 minutes late,they did not call to say they were on their way. I had an updated list with several small additional items to the list IVL had given them. The foreman took 55 minutes to rewrite this list, changing the large boxes from 10 to 70! The size of the boxes, purchased from U-Haul, Menards, and Walmart were clearly printed on the boxes. One item that I had asked LA Movers to pack was my printer. When I opened the box in Chicago I discovered that there was no padding around the printer and two plastic pieces had broken off. My white couch and chair have multiple dirt marks on them. Tv unit, tables, bookcases are scratched. The company added about $2000 to my fee. After weeks of contesting the fee, I agreed to settle on a reimbursement of $800. This morning I learned that LA’s account had been closed. I’ve truly calling them but there is no answer. DO NOT use LA Movers if you care about your possessions. This is the most unprofessional company I have worked with.

  This was the worst move ever! Over 30 items were broke or damaged from move on July 30-31, 2019. No reimbursement has been received that was promised. LA Movers, LLC 4130 Alby St Alton, IL 62002 were contracted to move from Dallas Ga to Anderson SC. Damage to door frame at Dallas GA home and also frame at Anderson SC Weber grill cover for Genesis II torn in several places Torn wood frame of 5 shelf unit Bathroom drawer dumped in box. Some liquid was put in and was all over items and picture with glass thrown in box Boxes with lamp shades crushed 2 11X14 frames destroyed with Monet prints bent trim on lamp shade torn off leaving marks on shade 2 additional lamp shades bent Marble candle stick from 1944 from deceased grandmother broke in two due to not packing glass cover for candle broke Mirror cracked Another lamp shade bent Another bathroom drawer dumped into box liquid in bottom Another bathroom drawer dumped into box liquid spilled over items broken glass for patio table 2 drawer for hutch bent items loose and not usable Not packed properly Spice rack bent and would not stand and hold all spices decorative candle thrown in box and side scraped Decorative candle broke in half Shredder container cracked Office supplies loose in box no packing paper bent and unusable floral arrangement broke foam in half Desk drawers broken unable to repair Door gaskin at home in Dallas ripped Metal door dented Belts and silk scarves and other items thrown in box with toilet brush on top touching items Two floral toparies broke in half Coffee table scratches on top Urm broken Diffuser liquid not covered liquid all over items from London Lamp thrown in box bulb broken glass everywhere Other side of desk destroyed Porcelain rose broken Glass caterpillar and Sand dollars in box broken Liquid from uncovered item on silk decorative pillow Two oil painting of daughters had canvas on top and not in box. Both have scratches Front door frame at Dallas, GA house had gashed from refrigerator also dent on door leading from garage Had to repair before closing on home. Never reimbursed for expenses. Top on container bent and caused damage to books One large box had only two curtain panels charged for box that was not full They promised a $750 reimbursement, but have not seen any amount
