AWFUL! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! I wish I knew now what I didn't know before hiring Lincoln Moving & Storage of Tampa. I was told there would be organization.....not even close. Hang up clothes were thrown in boxes still on hangers. I was told clothes were to stay in the drawers....that was not the case. All folded clothes were thrown in boxes. I was told ALL boxes would be initialed and the room they came from....this did not happen. I was sold an inventory would be done on any box prior to leaving my home...this changed. The only reason I found out was by watching the movers take out boxes prior to an inventory. The process was sold to me and then changed with no word from Brooks Wilkins ! While unpacking boxes, MANY antique/family items were broken. My sons toy trucks were wrapped better than most breakables. While trying to understand the claims process, Brooks Wilkins was unresponsive. It took reaching out to someone that came out to provide the quote to get any response from Brooks Wilkins. Brooks Wilkins did not send anyone out to access the damage. I was told to take pictures and leave the damaged items in the box and paper that they were shipped/packed in. Come to find out there wasn't a need for that process. Brooks Wilkins reviewed the items( from a piece of paper ) from his desk (with no photos) and determined the amount of the damage....what a slap in the face. Shame on me for trusting a company/man like this with my home. I will NEVER hire this company again!!!!!!! I agree with a prior posting.....Brooks Wilkins and his team can not be trusted!!!!!!!! What a sloppy job !

UPDATE- Atlas /Lincoln does not require their subcontractors to carry Atlas insurance. I'm now stuck trying to work with the subcontractor's insurance company. You would think Atlas/Lincoln would offer to pay for the repair and then seek to recover funds from THEIR subcontractor. Now I've got to take time off work to meet with yet another claims adjuster. It is now 4+ months post move. They did $2000 damage to my floors. I hired Lincoln Moving and Storage (Tampa) for an out of state move. The company they subcontracted it to pushed a heavy dresser across the hardwood floor with no protection. Despite a professional estimate of $2000 they refuse to pay it because they subcontracted the job. The subcontractor is unresponsive. Use another carrier, you have no recourse if something goes wrong.

Worst movers EVER! Knowing movers have a manual job, I made sure they were well fed and had non-stop access to drinks. I went to my favorite donut shop daily to buy donuts, had a cooler full of various drinks, table full of snacks, and a buffet style lunch daily(they packed for 3 days). I had hoped they would see my appreciation and pack well, but sadly, they did a very bad job packing. Roughly half of the boxes had something broken or evidence of the packer not caring. -After they left, we picked up 30+ bottles (many barely consumed) that were in closets, on counters, in the garage, and on the lawn. We had several garbage bags all over the house and garage, so it's not like there was an excuse to have any garbage, let alone 30+ bottles! - Part of a desk was missing, screws and accessories not with items. - They packed my plunger and toilet brush...which was recently used. Nothing like toilet water all over your stuff. - I cannot tell you how many breakable objects were wrapped poorly or not at all. - They didn't empty any of the dressers, and actually packed items in empty drawers. They just wrapped the whole dresser up with paper. I don't believe dressers are made to go up and down stairs and cross-country loaded with stuff. - Countless boxes with heavy items placed on top of lighter, delicate items. - My son has a model rocket collection that his dad made 30 years prior. Those rockets have been moved across the world at least 10 times with no issues. They put them in a box, unwrapped. Every single rocket had broken pieces. - I had delicate straw wall hangings they folded and put in a box. My kids had large posters they just folded. (Why didn't they ask us how to proceed? I would have purchased boxes/tubes or gave those items to neighbors if need be.) - We had 2 opened Nesquick chocolate/strawberry milk mixes. They put the containers on their sides. By the time it got to our new home, the lids popped off and the box had chocolate and strawberry mixes all over the box. There was an opened box of baking soda that was upside-down that also spilled in a different box. In my opinion, don't pack those items or put a piece of tape to secure. - They filled my non-stick pot with canned goods. It was scratched heavily. I could go on, but I'll stop. Even the movers who unloaded our stuff at our new home commented on how poorly they packed and loaded the crates. If you have any choice, stay away from these movers. If you must have them, I'd watch how they were packing. Sadly, I stayed out of their way and never watched how they were packing.
