      The pick up crew was amazing and very careful with my belongings. It wasn't until after they had my stuff that communication with the people on the phone became rude, strained and hard to get in touch with. I waited a week for my belongings in a hotel. On arrival, items were scratched and damaged and immediately I noticed things missing. Parts of my children's bunk beds, and a large box that the original movers had packed holding special antique heirlooms. It's been two full weeks and sadly we noticed that a box filled with my kids' just received Christmas presents and their wallets with cash is not here either. The company has seemingly blocked my number and is not responding to calls, texts, messages and emails, to send the form for damaged and lost items, or to let me know if they found any of the missing items in the storage space they apparently used. This company does not have their own trucks, they were using Pensky trucks. The people who delivered were not who picked up. I am very upset by this experience. Victor, who gave me the quote, had me convinced I was making the best decision.

      I would not use this company again, nor would I recommend them to anyone else. For anyone moving in or out of an apartment, watch out for elevator fees, stair fees, and long-carry fees. My initial estimate was $2,500 (including $75 for the elevator at my apartment and $200 for the stairs at my new apartment); however, by the end of the moving process $1,000 had been added for long-carry and the same stairs. Additionally, my movers lost a shelf and damaged my ottoman. I submitted a claim within the month I moved (September 2021), and they said they had until January 28, 2022 to process the claim. I still hadn't received my check on March 22, 2022 and called Customer Support. They claim was processed on January 30, 2022. Despite my address being correct in the confirmation email, the check was sent to the incorrect address. They promised to send a new check out that week. Two week later I still have not received my check. I called Customer Support again, but this time they hung up on me and disconnected the line. Lesson learned. I'll never use Mid-America Movers again.

      They arrived at the house on the day of the move exactly when they said they would and even assisted me in packing the final few stray items and getting them out the door. The Foreman, Ervin, was quite accommodating. They were quite professional; when we arrived at our new home, everything was in its proper place, they cleaned up after themselves, and they made sure there was nothing else we needed before leaving. Overall, it made the transition lot smoother than it could have been. This company comes highly recommended by me to anyone searching for a stress-free moving experience. Thank you so much for everything you did, it was well worth the money!
