I never write reviews but I feel that it is my responsibility to warn other customers. The yard where my boat is going to be kept recommended Steve. I called him about six months in advance to book a date. Got a quote and thought I was in the queue for the spring. Called him again about 6 weeks in advance to make sure I was still on the schedule. Was told yes but that we should wait until closer to the date to finalize things. So I waited a month and started calling him again about 2 weeks in advance of the transport date. Slow response in the final two weeks. Finally got a productive call at 8:40pm four days before the transport date. Went thru all my info again and then found out he doesn't have a mast track on his rig to transport my mast. Bottom line, he didn't remotely prepare for this job until 8pm four days before the delivery. I should have known the guy was flakey when he always took so long to get back to me and I always had to go thru all my info again every phone call. On one of his calls he said, "I know I keep giving you the run around." To say nothing of the fact that I was told about two weeks out that the quote I got before was no longer valid. All his prices had gone up which I can understand, but it just rubs me the wrong way when the service is lacking. I know running a small business is hard and Steve was nice enough when I was able to speak with him on the phone, but it is my impression that he is completely disorganized. Please don't make my mistake and lose a month of time on the water because Steve can't do his job until potentially the very last minute. Go with a different transport company.
