  Dean, the owner knows what he is doing. They have moved 2 pianos for us and they make it look easy (but it's not really). Due to covid, they are not tuning inside occupied homes yet. Maybe when the mandates stop. If you need a piano moved, call Petrich's without hesitation

  There is always a silver lining in everything including the pandemic! My fiancé owns an old Mathushek upright which had 5 keys with no sound. One additional key had a hammer missing. With shelter-in-place order, I decided to find someone to fix them so I could at least practice playing. My friend did some research for me and found Dean. After realizing I was in New York, Dean agreed to walk me through over the phone what I needed to do to fix these keys. Since I had no experience in piano repairs, I took pictures and videos for Dean to review and give me step-by-step instructions. After more than an hour and a half on the phone, I was able to fix the problems, and now I can now play! Dean explained the parts and process in an easy-to-understand manner with humor which put me at ease. Thank you, Dean, for your patience and offer to do a remote repair for me.

  Dean is amazing! He has parts for just about every kind of piano imaginable. He is skilled in just about everything to do with pianos - teacher, mover, repairer... And he is a kind and thoroughly entertaining person too!
