  We were moving about 230 miles but our new home was not yet ready. So we needed to store our belongings for 4 months. The convenience of PODS was great. But the 2 PODS we rented ended up being a LOT more expensive than we were quoted! There were several additional charges totaling a few thousand dollars. The monthly rental for storage was different every single month. And every time we called PODS, they would say "I'm not sure why that happened. Let me open a ticket and have someone check into it and call you back." 3 different tickets were opened. Did we ever hear from anyone? Nope! All-in-all, our move for a 1600 sq ft 3BR/2BA home (with NO appliances) cost us well over $10,000, plus another $2300 for 4 months of storage. I doubt I would ever use PODS again.

  Other full-service movers quoted me approx 8000 to 30000. Most of them to rip you out when they know you are moving. PODS makes a difference and stands out in the crowd . They are for people who are budget conscious but also cannot compromise on quality.All items arrived with no damage. All was well protected. It is important to pack and place correctly of course. PODS significantly cheaper price and on time delivery/pick up adds value to their service.On top of all these they can also give you extra days time to unload your container.Big thanks to Gerson Martinez, PODS driver who was awesome in helping.If you are moving - especially long distance, I would definitely go with PODS

  Moved long distance from Houston to Seattle. Other multiple full-service movers quoted me approx 18,000. The full move cost approx 3,000. Hired some movers for a few hundred to help load and unload. Saved a TON of money. Price isn't everything. Quality matters as well. Previously when I went with full-service -movers long distance, I had a bunch of broken items. This time, I ended up with 2 old broken plates. I can live with that. My desktop, lamps, 55 inch TV, furniture all arrived with no damage. All was well protected. It is important to pack and place correctly of course. But PODS significantly cheaper price does not mean significantly lower quality. Communication was also easy and I was constantly informed of the process. If you are moving - especially long distance, I would definitely go with PODS.
