We just completed a cross country move from CA. I have used pods a few times in recent years. This time involved 6 for the move. I have found that the national schedulers in FL are mostly pretty good, though this time promised 2 pods to be delivered early in morning and it was scheduled for afternoon. Not good when you're paying movers. Local offices can not be contacted at all. The number goes to FL. The reason I keep using pods is the drivers. They always call when on the way, are always polite, and are extremely good with the loading/unloading system. They drop the pod where you want it and with delivery of your goods, never leave until door is open. Things shift and this can be a major problem. Like I had yesterday. No worries. Ed here in the Knoxville branch really made a great effort with success to get that door open. 4 pods done, 2 more to go after I make room. I hope Ed delivers again, but I'm sure the others drivers competent also. I've always found this to be so. 5 stars 🌟 for drivers.

We hired PODS thinking we were hiring a "reputable" company and wouldn't have to go through the headache and struggle we have read about with other moving companies. We reserved two large PODS in December to store our belongings when we moved from Georgia to Tennessee. At the time we moved, we did not have a delivery address as we were planning to stay in a short term rental while we looked for our forever home. When making the reservation, the representative stated it would be stored in Knoxville until we had an address. It is now two months later, we are closing on our house in eight days and they WILL NOT deliver our PODS because we are more than 50 miles from the storage facility. They are telling us our only option is to rent a truck, drive 100 miles to Knoxville, unload our PODS into the truck and drive it to our new home...twice. We paid almost $7,000 to find out our PODS cannot be delivered to our home and they are offering us $500 as a consolation. This is not an issue of being unable to have it delivered due to inaccessibility (we moved to a major city off the interstate, no dirt roads, etc.), it is their flat out refusal to deliver our PODS outside of their 50 mile radius. We offered to pay extra to have it delivered, still no. This potential issue was not disclosed at the time of our reservation so we are really at a loss as far as what our next step is going to be. This is just one more thing to consider when you start your moving adventure. If I save one of you from this headache, it is worth it. Good luck!! Update: We filed a complaint with the corporate office and they have been responsive. They reviewed the recording of our reservation call and have acknowledged they did not inform us of the 50 miles delivery radius limitations. In fact, the PODS reservations employee specifically stated anything over 25 miles is subject to an additional delivery fee, we have told the representative from the corporate office that we are more than willing to pay the additional fee. He has stated the franchisee in Knoxville will not deliver to Cookeville, end of story. They have increased their offer to a refund of $1,000 plus $238 for the two months of storage, which we have declined. Currently, the corporate representative is obtaining a quote from their "preferred movers" for a full service move (unload the container into their truck, drive to our home 96 miles away, unload the belongings in our new home), we stated this would be an acceptable resolution. He then comes back to say they would not be covering this in full but would adjust their offer accordingly. We are still weighing our options, but it is looking like we will have to hire a mover which is very disappointing. We are continuing our social media campaign to inform others of our story in hopes it will help others avoid our situation.

Dropped off pod as requested and stored until needed. I had the pod then shipped months later to my new home. The drop off was on schedule and I unloaded the pod. I would give them 5 stars but for some reason the pick up 2 days later was not in their system as requested. I needed to elevate the issue to the next level to get the pod picked up per my initial request. Daziel was redirected to my home to pick up the pod. He was definitely a 5 star guy. Big smile, took care not to damage grass or sprinklers. An excellent representative for PODS. Overall a good experience during time when things need to happen in a timely manner.
