I wouldn’t recommend PODS if they were the last moving company on earth. This company dropped the ball on shipping our belongings, leaving my wife and newborn baby stranded without our basic things. Their customer service is beyond awful too as they couldn’t even tell us where our PODS were. Did I mention the unauthorized charges too? We had to file a dispute with our credit card company after they fraudulently billed us for something they had no authorization or invoice for. Re: the latter, when called they couldn’t tell us what the charge was for. Unbelievable! Avoid this company like the plague.

We recently just made our second moved using PODS. I have never had anything but a pleasant exchange with anyone from the company. Everything happens on my schedule, which I prefer. PODS provides the best value.

EDIT: PODS has reached out and responded. Their very helpful representative did actually take the time to make things right. Thank you PODS. I am still a bit disappointed in the trouble I experienced on the way but appreciate how helpful their rep was afterwards. I wouldn't recommend PODS to anyone who values their time and stuff. 1. I changed my order to remove same day pickup/delivery because it was illegal on my side of town, and PODS never bothered refunding it until I complained. In fact, they were going to keep that AND MORE of my money until I called them out on it - more on this later. Due to street laws, I had to pay movers to take my stuff to the pod facility anyway. 2. When I discussed sizing with an associate on the phone, I was convinced an 8ft POD (which is affordably priced) would fit my stuff. When I got to the facility, it was very clear it wasn't even close. I don't blame the associate - I may have undersold the amount of stuff I had. Since I was on site already with my movers and my stuff, I was forced to upgrade my POD to the medium size - double the space but more than double the cost in transportation fees! Plus, the people on site can't help you with that. I had to sit on hold in their parking lot for 20 minutes with my movers that charge per the hour. 3. After upgrading my POD, I was told what I had paid for the first, smaller POD (including the aforementioned same day drop off/pick up charge) would be applied to the second as credit. It wasn't - PODS was just willing to keep it. I had to call them after delivery to get it back. 4. As for the delivery itself, due to the me changing POD size suddenly my entire move had to be pushed back. Understandable, sure, but I was told PODS would call me if my POD arrived early. It did arrive early, but they didn't bother to call - I only found out because the GPS I put into the POD alerted me. 5. When I opened the POD, I discovered boxes had mold and were crushed. Reviewing the travel log, the driver sped the entire time and PARKED OUTSIDE OVERNIGHT IN LIGHT SNOW. The only reason my stuff wasn't permanently damaged was because I packed it in tons of bubble wrap, plastic bags, etc. I spent an entire day cleaning up my things to get the mold off. And since nothing was permanently damaged (due to me compensating for PODS's negligence) I can't make a claim on it. PODS's response to this entire debacle was to offer me $50 for cleaning supplies and tell me to go back to the insurance company who already had told me to go back to PODS. Don't make the same mistake I did. PODS will not treat you or your things like a valued customer.
