Booked a service for 12 noon, and for 10 carton boxes to be brought. The packers and movers landed at 2 pm, came with no carton boxes. Contacted porter for the same and then realised that they provide the service through third party vendors and hence have absolutely no control over the quality of the service being provided. Then the third party who sent his guys calls up and refuses to transport any luggage without a paid for rickshaw till the tempo, a distance of 50m. It was clearly stated by Porter that 50m distance is not a problem for transportation of luggage. Inversely I am being told (I have been staying in this area for 2 years) by a person on the phone that the distance is 200m. When being provided with a solution from my side that I will personally measure the walking area with Google maps, there is no pause for consideration, just constant blabbering from the other end. An absolute disaster.

On Sept 8, on behalf of FragilePak, Porter Moving Company delicately delivered some new furniture to our home. Wearing white gloves and booties, they carefully negotiated the front door, unwrapped the furniture, assembled and legs and placed our new couches and chair in the living room on recently polished floors. Not a scratch or blemish. They tidied up and removed all the packing materials and were on their way in less than 30 minutes. If I ever need to have something like this moved again, I'd definitely put Porter at the top of the list.
