While they were reasonably priced (cost per hour) and prompt to the job I found them to be incredibly slow and couldn't help but feel this was done in an effort to increase the bill. They (especially Tim , the owner) spent copious amounts of time folding blankets instead of moving items at one point even unfolding and refolding a blanket. I wish I was exaggerating when I say at least 30 mins throughout the day was spent on this (costing me roughly $60.00). When I asked about this he explained this has to be done to account for all the blankets they came with. Fine, moving on but he beleaguered the point and told me about this the next 3 times I went to the truck from my trips up and down with boxes (while he remained on the truck you guessed it, folding blankets). He also told me he felt that I had been rushing him all day. 1.) Of course I was, they are hourly 2.) Upon arrival I explained that I had budgeted for 4.5-5 hours max and if we needed to stop loading at a certain point (allowing for unload) and I would move the rest then so be it. You see I had referred a neighbor to him that they moved the day before and it took them 9.5 hours to move a one bedroom apartment 15 blocks away! I did not have $1000 to spend when the original discussion was roughly $350-400. My move was also a 1 bedroom apartment just 2 blocks away. In an effort to keep within my budget I joined in and moved many many items myself along with the help of a friend (I now owe a few dinners). While this was my prerogative the amount of moving that was required to keep within my budget window defeated the purpose of hiring movers in the first place. My frustration really reached it's limit when Tim moved a single nightstand drawer (maybe 16"x 18")up the stairs while I moved 2 stacked dresser drawers myself. Nearing the end of the move when the last 4 items were on the truck he told me we needed to settle up the bill and add 15 mins for the last items to be unloaded (highly unprofessional). I asked if this included putting my table back together that they insisted on taking apart back and was told that would be another 20 mins. I said forget it. He told me he normally doesn't do this but I had made him feel so uncomfortable. I was certainly direct and questioned him on a few things and perhaps that was not what he was used to but I was never rude nor did I raise my voice etc...I thanked them several times throughout the day and even tipped them (less then I would have had they been more efficient). I would NOT recommend them again to anyone and made sure to tell the rest of my previous neighbors all of whom will be moving in the upcoming months to avoid hiring them.

Tim and his crew made my move happen quickly and efficiently and at a fair price. We had some odd shaped pieces that required special care and they handled it. I'd trust him to do my next one- absolutely!
