  My wife and I decided to try this place after going to the old courthouse for early voting. We have always eaten at a few of the adjacent restaurants but we wanted to try something different! The end result was…Different is GOOD! The first time experience was great! The staff was very friendly and professional! They were very knowledgeable and their food recommendations were SPOT ON! My dish was the the double deck melt burger and it DID NOT disappoint! My wife had the smoked salmon sandwich with roasted Brussels Spouts which was just as good! Finally, we finished our meal with dessert! I tried the double chocolate brownie Sunday…but my wife’s bread pudding was EXCEPTIONAL! I don’t really like bread pudding….But I’ll eat the one at this place! Overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!

  FRIED CHICKEN BENNY (new dish) was REALLY REALLY good. Fried chicken on a biscuit with gravy, topped with a poached egg and served with HOME FRIES....i also got a side of Mac and Cheese. Everything was excellent.....

  We had a lovely time eating at Public House. My partner and I live here and we brought our friends into Manassas to explore—we landed here! Our server was friendly and attentive; we had all the water we wanted. I also had a nice rosé and my partner had a canned cider that he said he liked. For dinner, I chose the beet and goat cheese salad and I added grilled chicken to it. You can also add steak, I believe, and maybe some sort of seafood. I have some dietary restrictions, so it can be difficult for me to find something yummy, especially at a pub, but this worked well! For GF folks, note that the chili on the menu now, which I was also considering, isn’t safe and contains wheat as a thickener—the server asked the kitchen for me. My partner had appetizers for dinner, nachos and the wings with Old Bay. He said they were great! We had seats outside by Battle Street. I loved the atmosphere there. Only one problem: the random muscle cars and motorcycles cruising historic downtown and revving for absolutely no reason. It’s obnoxious and fun for no one but the driver. I’m sorry to say it but when people are trying to enjoy an evening out and that happens, you can barely hear anything. It’s certainly not the pub’s fault, though. I will take friends back here again!
