Region Relocation, INC Atlanta, GA UPDATE: We finally received the settlement of claim and global release liability from their insurance company. This was the response: "Upon a close review of your bill of lading (contract), order of service, as well as the proof of loss and damage form, and to maintain our high level of customer satisfaction, the settlement of this claim has been found to be in the amount of $65.00 - Company Final Offer." Mind you, our hand truck that they took with them which we had to replace was more than their offer. Not to mention the mattress we had to replace as well as all of the damage. We will be filing a complaint with the FMCSA, AMSA, BBB, and contacting the Attorney General. Will update post with outcome. If searching for a BBB rating, be sure to use their DOT number as they have changed names several times. It is an "F". Be sure to sure Yelp and other sites for review of this company as well. They are horrific. DOT 1911152 ORIGINAL POST: My parents experience with Region Relocation. My Dad received an estimate based on the inventory he provided on a spreadsheet. He continued to provide inventory updates as they were selling items prior to their move. Mind you, the inventory decreased, not increased. The price ended up being two grand more than the estimate. The weight they provided was as a basis for the increase was different than what the driven upon delivery provided on his weight report. Of course, you have to pay as they hold your furniture hostage. They tell you to "call the office" to dispute. They delivered the furniture five days later than communicated initially. They said that their truck broke down. Mind you they use a Ryder rental truck and if you read their reviews, their trucks break down quite often. When they did arrive at 7:30 last night, this is where it really turned into a mess. When they opened the truck, the furniture just about fell off of the truck. There was more damage than not on their furniture. Even the driver was appalled. The crew was very nice and were mortified as they were the unpacking crew. Unfortunately, in addition to the furniture damage, there was property damage to our doorway. I have posted a few pictures of some of the damage. They also took my Dad's hand truck when leaving so I am typing this from The Home Depot lot while my Dad gets a new hand truck. We are unpacking boxes and there is also damage as boxes were upside down and damaged on the truck. We have sent pictures and will talk to them on Monday about the claim. I will update this post with the outcome. I would recommend avoiding this company at all costs!!!!

Most pathetic/unprofessional moving company I ever worked with. PLEASE DO NOT GO WITH THESE GUYS unless you really do not care about your household stuff at all. These guys literally harass their customer. Once you made your first payment you are trapped. After that they do not even pick up your call, literally. I called them 100 times but they responded just couple of times. My overall experience at the time of pickup, delivery and while following up with Region Relocation has been extremely horrible. I felt like getting harassed by Region Relocation in the whole process. When I try to reach Region Relocation over phone, nobody answers or call back despite leaving multiple voice messages. This essentially is a not a moving company but rather bunch of folks just paid to bring customers and then they simply give your stuff to random folks for delivery. How you can verify this is: - The folks who will call/email you will have gmail id and not he region relocation email addresses, because they actually are not employees of region relocation. - They won't pick up your call after the first payment, you are just trapped. - The Pick and delivery guys will never come on time. I scheduled the pickup in morning and they arrived at 5 pm evening. I had a flight to catch at 8pm and it became a panic situation. I had to call my friends to take care of pickup. - The Driver/delivery person name they give is always wrong, some random people will come for pick and delivery. - I had lot of stuff missing (or rather stolen) when they delivered it worth $1500 and many other stuff broken and many boxes were nibbled by rodents and they had big holes (see pictures). And you won't believe they said they will pay $100 for that and asked me not to give any bad reviews anywhere if I access $100. - If you visit the office address you won't find anyone there ever. I actually went and checked. - When the pick up person arrives he will try to say that you have more boxes than booked and will ask for more money if you don't pay he will not take your stuff.

Cont'd.. Fast forward to Tuesday 6/13. This is my guaranteed delivery date. the driver was supposed to be at my house between 3-4 pm. 3/4 pm come and go and the driver is not at house nor has anyone called to keep me informed as to what was going on. Around 6:00 PM I heard from Moving Mania who then informed me the driver was 2.5 hours from my house and the delivery wouldn't be made until after 8 pm. The driver does not arrive to my home until 9 pm. Once he arrives he proceeds to argue and raise his voice at me about having to bring my belongings to the 3rd floor. He said it would be an additional $75 per stair case and that when i signed my contract I agreed to pay a stair fee. I then made him aware that the fee for stairs was already included in the price I was quoted. Sidenote: the stair fee is $50 not $75, and he did not have any documents that itemized all the fee i was being charged/already paid. So, he had no proof that I did not pay it and he was trying to scam me out of additional $225. He then threatened he was not going to reassemble the furniture he disassembled when he picked up my belongings if I did not pay the additional fee for the stairs. I then got on the phone with his manager who said he would "waive" the stair fee and I would not be responsible for paying it and everything would be reassembled. Anywho, that start to bring my belongings up and boxes are smashed, broke open, furniture is scratched and dirty. The bed he recommended I throw out when he picked it up was completely destroyed. The drawers are cracked and broken beyond repair or use. He knew he destroyed the bed and he left my house so quickly that I did not realize the damage until after he was gone. He did not leave any receipts or paper work behind so I had to call Moving Mania the next morning as ask them to send an invoice and all the paper work associated with my move. This company is beyond terrible. I will be filing a claim for the damages as well as for the lack of customer service. If you are wise you will not use this company or Moving Mania
