  Hired Roses Moving and Storage (Allied Van Lines) to move 10,000 pounds of household goods in November of 2021 from Ann Arbor, MI to Atlanta, GA. I couldn't be happier. The movers were quick, polite, and respected my belongings/home. The estimate was perfect. The driver was kind and went above and beyond. Before moving, I got three quotes. I did NOT hire the OTHER companies because I was asked: How many stairs? What is the distance from the truck to the door? Allied did NOT ask these questions. Another company I did NOT hire was a broker/middle man so I did not know who would be responsible for what? If I was going to be super picky, I would offer two recommendations to Rose Moving & Storage (Allied Van Lines). First, I was instructed by three different people (estimator, driver, relocation specialist) as to how/when to pay. Each had a different answer. The last person gave me the correct answer. Second, I packed myself. I needed better information as to the proper way to pack such as: How much can a box weigh? Do rakes and shovels need to be boxes? Do I need to plastic wrap my dressers/couch? What counts as movers packing? Is it putting a blanket on something? Overall I was super happy. I would use them again.

  The estimator sold me on using Rose Moving by promising that there would be no added charges. At the end my belongings were held hostage. I had to pay an additional $1600 or my possessions would not be unloaded from the truck. The crew unloading would not follow my instructions. Boxes were piled many high and deep in front of shelves and cupboards so I couldn't unload boxes into where the items would go. Once I paid the extra money it's like the company no longer existed. So, I was unable to question the additional charges. I would never recommend them to anyone.

  The office contact was responsive and helpful. The delivery person was exceptional. The rest was a disaster. They only had one person on delivery. He could not make turn into driveway, had to take everything up driveway. It was 90 degrees. 3 workers at loading and one at delivery. Go figure how hard he had to work. Furniture got scratched, chipped, dented and white paint scratches. Must have happened as my stuff moved thru system doubt final delivery person at fault.. Last off boxes all crushed. As self pack responsible but not anticipated multiple boxes would be damaged. That is on movers. Very sloppy and careless movement of my stuff within company. 11 day window for delivery took 14 days.
