Do not work for Sabal in Texas unless you like being cussed at, talked down to and forced to drive over your 14/11 hour clock. They don’t care if your overly tired and feel uncomfortable behind the wheel due to fatigue, their priority is to get loads delivered, your safety and the motoring publics safety is irrelevant. The guy who runs the Texas division is an extremely unprofessional individual, he’s forgetful, has unpredictable mood swings and overall creates a very unpleasant work environment. His modo is to rule with an iron fist and have drivers fear him, his words not mine. To top it off, the company will not pay you to go get tires fixed, will not pay you to sit on the side of the road waiting for road service, will not pay 90% of the time if there is detention pay due, and will not pay you to get your truck serviced. And their “great benefits” are a joke, $83 a week for the driver, if you want to add your child, it jumps to over $200 a week, and to add a family is nearly $400 a week, with an out of network policy that most doctors won’t except in Texas. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place.
