  We had a very short lead time move request for the day before Thanksgiving and Byers and Sons came through like a champ. Paxton and crew were very polite, professional and especially careful to wrap and handle all of our furniture well. We had ZERO incidents during the move. They didnt leave until they saw we were satisfied with the completion. Will recommend to anybody on the area who asks… and will use them again to move into our Barndominium we are building in our dream location… Thanks Byers!!

  Although I was very pleased with the care in packing my furniture for the move, I was shocked and stunned with the final bill!! My estimate was 1800.00 (verified by both owners) on two occations (visits and inventory) prior to the move date...then after completed, I was charged 2700.00! We were very gracious in supplying lunch on both days for the crew, tipping and also willing to compromise on the final bill. Instead ....I was sent documentation of a higher fee of what they could have charged?!!! This is very poor business. I made the mistake of paying it, which I should have never done, as I was told by owner Helen Byers...she would review the estimate and send a refund. No Response? BEWARE!!!!

  Here’s a detailed breakdown of the move: 1. Paxton did a great job - he’s by far the most knowledgeable in their crew. He also saved our dining room table from being ruined by a downpour. 2. Their moving blankets and supplies leave a lot to be desired. Hard to say if they’ve ever been washed. You’d be better off providing your own blankets. 3. Some of the crew members will leave you wondering why they are even there. Our 5 men crew may as well have been a 3 men team. One of them was smoking inside the garage. 4. They damaged our brand new driveway (dug our concrete with the bottom of the truck and damaged brand new walls (we will need to spackle and paint). Additionally, they used hand trucks when going up the stairs, which damaged new stair treads. 4. They were very reasonably priced (below competition). You really do get what you pay for in this case. My suggestion for the business would be to provide some additional training to the team and replace moving blankets with new ones.
