I would stay away from this company. Super unprofessional. Read reviews from other sites - the stories are horrific. I went with this company because it was half the price of other moving pods and the booking staff was helpful and friendly over the phone. I scheduled everything with plenty of time for leeway in my move. Got the text for drop off as scheduled, however due to their only truck “breaking down” I didn’t receive my initial drop off 3 days late. Each day they kept promising their truck was fixed but never delivered. It wasn’t until day 3 they said they had a second truck that was also broken(?). Their main method of communication was over text, even after I repeatedly asked for the manger to call me back. It wasn’t until I emailed corporate(who was extremely rude) that the box was finally delivered. They promised same day pick up so we loaded up our box within 2 hours but as you can probably guess within those two hours their truck broken down again. The manger refused to answer or return my calls and only responded once over text. It was very rude and extremely unprofessional. The box finally got picked up - again another 3 days late because suddenly they don’t work weekends or Mondays and their truck miraculously got fixed overnight. It was extremely sketchy and very stressful as we were now on a time crunch to vacate the parking spot where the box was sitting. We had high doubts we would ever see our stuff again. But thankfully the MN company was prompt with delivery and pick up - and I gave them a nicer review for it. I would avoid this company and would not recommend them. Again please read reviews from other sites. Most the 5 star reviews on here are from “people” who have only ever written reviews for this company - it’s sketchy.

Hello Khalena, I apologize again for the multitude of issues we had while we were trying to service the starting part of your move. One note, in Los Angeles, our offices are never open on Sunday or Monday and haven't been since 2017. We only operate Tuesday through Saturday between the hours of 7 am and roughly 3:30 pm depending on the work we have to finish in the warehouse. Our truck's DEF fuel sensor went bad this summer and, unfortunately, because of COVID, every supplier in the country was out. Your move occurred in July and I'm sad to say that truck only got fixed within the last 2 weeks. However, I know this doesn't help your move which is complete at this time. Both Ricardo and I spoke with you over text throughout the process and tried to provide as much information for you as possible during the process but, unfortunately, had no way of repairing the truck or getting the backup truck serviced and ready to fit your needs. Ultimately, as soon as we had an option available, we picked up your box and got it safely shipped to MN. We are glad to hear the experience in MN was more to your expectations and also pleased to know you have your belongings and your move is complete. We are sorry again for any stress we caused.

I'd been w/ SMARTBOX for almost seven years. It was really convenient having a storage space, where I could move items in and out as needed. Given the fact that they also deliver/pickup the container, it made it that much more valuable, especially when moving, b/c they'll drop it off at your old place, let you pack it up, then pick it up for transport to your new home. The containers are pretty large, so you can fit furniture in them, and their entire staff was really nice and helpful. I finally cleared out my container, but I'm going to reopen my account again in a few months when I move.

Very friendly customer service with punctual and accommodating service. Juan, who delivered our two smart boxes for our unpacking, got them to fit perfectly in our driveway (no small task) and was willing to make adjustments so we could unload more easily. We greatly appreciate his help.
