  These guys were extremely productive, packing and loading everything at a fast pace. They were also very careful and mindful of our belongings. This was our first experience with a moving company and we are very happy with the results.

  Would recommend. Ask for Herb and his crew. Did a great job. Had 3 pickups to get us from Ct. to Pa. They were courteous, professional and Herb is a master at packing a truck. Good experience overall.

  We had a terrible experience with Sterling Moving Company. We paid just under $6000 to move our 3 bedroom/1bathroom house from Massachusetts to South Florida. Our belongings took 15 days to arrive (1day outside of the quoted 5-14 day window) and most of our furniture arrived damaged. Our dining room table was scratched, scuffed, and dented. 1 dining room table’s leg was totally broken off with exposed screws. Our recliner arrived missing the clip to connect the top and bottom, rendering it unusable. Our twin bed headboard was completely broken with holes throughout and splintered wood. Our vanity’s legs were completely stripped such that the legs could no longer screw into the base. While delivering it into the new house, the employee dropped the vanity on its side, denting the corner of the base. Our TV stand, coffee table, and baby’s dresser all arrived in one piece, but the sides were separating and constantly needed to be pushed back into place. We understood that we were making a long distance move, but for the amount of money we paid, we expected timely delivery and for our belongings to arrive as they left us. We were only reimbursed $200 for approximately $1,300 in damage, because we attempted to repair a few broken items. We do have a baby and felt that, for his safety, we needed minimized the splintered wood and exposed nails on these pieces of furniture. Also, in speaking with the claims department, no one told us that attempting to make repairs would render the claim null. We also received 2 boxes and 3 frames degrees that were not ours. We had to contact the company 3 times to arrange for the items to be picked up, and I’m not confident that they ever returned to the rightful owner. One final warning; the company took an inventory while loading up the truck. They exaggerated the state of every piece of furniture, likely to minimize their fault for any potential damage. We do not recommend this company. However, if you do decide to hire them, be sure to comb through their inventory for accuracy before signing anything.
