The Green Truck Moving Company (TGTMC) refuses to work with us regarding broken furniture that was supposed to be covered under their insurance. We contracted The Green Truck Moving Company (TGTMC) for our move on 12/6/19. Our dining room table and filing cabinet were both severely damaged in the move. We cannot stand the table on it's legs and the file cabinet is banged up beyond repair so badly that the drawers will only open about a third of the way. We were in direct contact with Michael Richardson (owner; not the owner listed on the website). We filed our claim within the 48 hour required window and received no response. This began a trend of reaching out to Mike with no response. He refuses to work with us despite phone calls, text conversations and emails. If you do get him on the phone he acts completely surprised that the insurance company has not contacted you. He says he will look into it and get back to you, but never does. After multiple calls, texts, emails we finally received a claim receipt confirmation form on February 14th. It is now July and despite one-sided follow up, there has been absolutely no contact from an insurance company nor resolution from TGTMC. In the meantime, the insurance form states we cannot make repairs or dispose of the items until the claim is settled. The dining room table is part of a set we were trying to sell so the whole set has been sitting in our home taking up space (through the holidays and now quarantine mind you) with no disposal or repair resolution. ***Their Better Business Bureau reviews contain multiple complaints of similar issues. They didn't even respond to our BBB complaint. Just ignored it. Not customer friendly at all.*** Other inconsistencies with this company: -They underestimated our move despite an extensive Q&A with their coordinator. -Our move was supposed to last for a few hours beginning at 2pm. It took until about 1am to get everything moved. -We scheduled three movers and they sent two. The cost was adjusted to reflect two drivers in the end and a two hour discount provided due to the extended timing. -The movers were very nice but exhausted in the end of course. They dropped the filing cabinet (on accident) from the top of the ramp and it landed on one of their feet causing a hairline fracture. Completely unsafe working conditions due to the company's mismanagement in arranging the move. -The website states the owners are Emanuel Reed, Clinton Gray and Derrick Moore. Yet the person who identified themselves as the owner with us was Mike Richardson -The website claims they use "green" moving methods, hence the name, such as recyclable materials they dispose of for customers, offering plastic containers instead of moving boxes, trucks that use biofuel, etc. They seem to use the same materials and practices as any other moving company, moving blankets and a LOT of plastic wrap that is not recyclable and that they did not take with them to dispose of in an environmental way. We were not offered plastic bins instead of cardboard boxes. NOTHING green was mentioned at all in preparation for or during our move. Despite all of the issues, I will say that the movers themselves were very nice. Stephen, the gentleman who hurt his foot, was also extremely professional. We did not anticipate the lack of professionalism we have encountered with the owners after working with someone of Stephen's caliber. We are disappointed this matter was not resolved under customary resolution practices and with appropriate communication from TGTMC.

Pitiful company! DO NOT USE! Paid my deposit and they cancelled on me three times. I would not trust these guys (Mike the Manager) to weed eat my yard. How in the world they have a business license is beyond my greatest wonder. Very unprofessional and zero business sense. Wish I would have read the reviews before getting the run-around multiple times. Now I'm just hoping I can get my money refunded!

BEWARE! Do not use this company. Dishonest and untrustworthy. The company was sold several years ago and is under new ownership. Look at their more recent reviews. On the day of the move, we were scheduled for an 8-9AM start window. No one called, no one ever showed up. We had to call around and finally were able to speak with "Mike" who said the truck that was supposed to show was in an accident (*remember this info*). He said a truck would be out shortly to start. Never happened. 5 and a half hours later, the truck finally showed. We paid for 4 movers. Only 3 showed up. The 4th showed up several hours later. So, 5.5 hours late and show up with insufficient movers. *When the movers showed up, the head mover told us the other truck was in an accident because the driver was "partying too hard". What does this mean?! Was he drunk or impaired when he wrecked a moving truck?! We should have asked them to leave right then, but sadly we did not. The work was slow and dragged on forever. We had packed all of our own things and staged them near the door to make it easier and quicker but this did not help. When they lift one box at a time, it is going to take a lot of time. A mover dropped a desk onto our wood floor. I was standing there and looked at the gauge in the floor, mover said "I didn't do that!". Seriously?! I just watched you drop it. Dishonest. They finally got the truck loaded and we were going to drive to the new house and the movers were going to follow us so they didn’t get lost. While driving, the truck pulls into a gas station off Hwy 70. No one gets out or does anything, they're just sitting in the truck for about 15 minutes...on the clock. The truck starts up again and we are heading down OHB towards I-40 when we see the driver and passenger light up and start smoking weed and are passing it back and forth while driving in a 100 ton truck. Totally unacceptable and unsafe! Police should have been contacted but what do you do when these people know where you live and are moving your things around your family? We get to the new house and the movers are now stoned. They proceed to damage more furniture (an antique desk my grandfather made for our family is ruined and irreplaceable), they damaged interior walls and our garage door. They finally get done and then you have to 'sign off' on the work for them to leave. They called Mike again and I spoke with him and explained about the damaged items and he became irate. He said he would not cover the antique desk and would need to 'talk with his insurance guy'. His refusal to discuss damages prompted us to inform him about what his employees were doing while driving in addition to showing up 5.5 hours late with no communication. When he was told they were using drugs on the clock - he was a bit more understanding and offered gift cards. (Just wait...this is far from over!) I filled out all of his 'insurance' paper work and turned it back into Mike....and waited....waited...days go by and nothing. I text him and I email to prompt a response and nothing. A week or so goes by, still have not heard from Green Truck, so I call Mike leave a voice mail and then I called again and he picks up! But Mike says he does not know what I'm talking about...? Really, I talked to you for like an hour the other day and sent you emails, texts, and filled out YOUR DAMAGE FORM and sent it back to you. You explained how sorry you were and how your employees using drugs while moving is not OK. I would think you'd remember that. Mike, without remembering the situation or my claim (per his words) proceeds to say he 'would not even turn this into his insurance guy' because it did not warrant it...(What?) He then said he would not cover the antique desk my grandfather made. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
